What you will do
Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills
Learn basic principles of Engineering
Work under the guidance of experienced engineers on design projects
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company resources and conduct
Electrical Engineers - System design
Schematic creation and maintenance
3D conductor routing and CAD modeling
Creation of harness and pinout drawings
Electrical component sizing, specification, and selection
Troubleshooting electrical issues on a range of products
Providing guidance to shop floor on new installations
Deep understanding of Bill of Material (BOM) structures
Create detail drawings of 3D models (SolidWorks)
Assist technical publications in creation of manuals (parts books, service manuals, operator manuals)
Manufacturing Engineers
Document designs using 3D solid (SolidWorks and/or OnShape) and 2D drafting software (AutoCAD)
Evaluate weight and balance issues for road worthiness and crane stability

Seeking a technically strong and collaborative Mechanical Engineer to support the development, construction, and commissioning of conventional generation projects.
Reporting to the Manager - Conventional Generation Engineering, the candidate has technical responsibility to support the development of conventional generation projects.

Operating in a learning capacity, gaining knowledge of general construction observation processes and procedures and field tests, such as materials testing, through on-the-job training.
Exposure working with a wide range of internal staff such as Landscape Architects, Engineers, Field Surveyors and Design Technicians to external staff such as architects, contractors, utility/facility personnel and/or public clients.
Work on a full range of assignments in various project phases.
In-office planning and design work and out of office field investigations and site visits.
Compile data and perform other basic engineering design calculations.

Education:
Enrollment in a Technical School or currently enrolled student majoring in an engineering discipline and (1) one year completed in a Bachelor's Degree program. Civil engineering majors preferred.
Experience:
0-6 months experience. Experience in MS Office Suite required. Experience or exposure with Computer Aided Design (CAD) and/or Civil 3D software preferred.
Travel Expectations:
Must be able to travel in-state and out-of-state on occasion, which usually would consist of field work on construction projects, visiting other company locations, attending business meetings. Engineer Intern travels in company vehicle or personal vehicle. Minimum travel is 10% of the time depending on projects. Valid driver's license with good driving record required.

Working Conditions:
Must have the ability to perform the physical activities of the job. Requires extensive on-site plant work with some office work. Requires the ability to work outdoors and in an industrial plant environment including, but not limited to, exposure to ambient temperature extremes, dusty/moist environments, climbing ladders and stairways, working at heights on elevated structures and platforms, and working in cramped spaces occasionally which may require bending, stooping, and standing. Travel is expected to development sites at least 10% of the time up to 100% during peak construction and commissioning. Extensive in-state and out of state travel required.

Seeking a technically strong and collaborative Mechanical Engineer to support the development, construction, and commissioning of conventional generation projects.
Reporting to the Manager - Conventional Generation Engineering, the candidate has technical responsibility to support the development of conventional generation projects.
The engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Owner's Engineer (OE), EPC Contractors, Major Equipment Supplier, and internal Transmission & Substation (T&S) teams to ensure safe, timely, cost-effective, and environmentally sound project delivery.
The engineer will assist with projects that are complex, multi-million-dollar capital projects with multi-year timeframes that span diverse disciplines. The type of projects will include conventional generation including simple cycle combustion turbines, and combined cycle combustion turbines.
This candidate will provide engineering support to the development, construction and commissioning of mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide technical oversight to enforce contract requirements on EPC Contractors and Major Equipment Suppliers.
• Coordinate with OE, EPC, Power Island Suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project success.
• Promote safety and contribute to a positive team culture.
• Support multi-disciplinary, multi-year capital projects with high complexity and value.
• Evaluate mechanical system designs including piping layouts, rotating equipment, heat exchangers, and auxiliary systems.
• Review and develop specifications for major mechanical equipment such as gas turbines (GT), steam turbines (ST), heat recovery steam generators (HRSG), pumps, and cooling systems.
• Ensure proper integration of GT, ST, HRSG, and balance-of-plant (BOP) systems.
• Advise on equipment layout and reliability improvements.
• Participate in vendor evaluations and ensure technical compliance.
• Witness FATs for critical mechanical components.
• Monitor delivery schedules and inspect mechanical installations including piping, valves, and rotating equipment alignment.
