Specific Responsibilities
Assist Engineering with drawings.

Prepare Shop Manufacturing drawings.
Prepare layouts and various drawings of parts and assemblies using conventional and limited CAD techniques and a working knowledge of the terms and procedures requiring the use of mathematical formulas to compute weights, dimensions, quantities of materials, etc.
Assist with final sketches checking dimensions of parts, materials to be used, relationships of one part to another, and relationship of various parts to whole structure or project.
Work from sketches, customer drawings, actual visual review, and verbal information supplied by an engineer or designer and determine the appropriate views, detail drawings, and supplementary information needed to complete assignments.
Assist with charts and graphs including flow charts, uv-graphs, tables, technical illustrations, and paste up work to depict parts for clarity and dimensional purposes.
Research and analyze data such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application.
Design products and systems to interface machines, hardware, and software.
Evaluate tooling and recommend design modifications to eliminate production downtime.
Support and participate in the organization's continual improvement program to conform to ISO 9001 requirements by complying with the Quality Policy and procedures and meeting QMS objectives.

Requirements
Education:
Must be currently enrolled in an accredited undergraduate degree program, Mechanical Engineering preferred.

EIS is seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to support fixed equipment reliability and maintenance in a refinery/chemical plant environment. This role will provide hands-on engineering support for troubleshooting, equipment strategies, and improvement projects, while gaining exposure to API and ASME codes, Turnarounds, and client-facing engineering work. The ideal candidate will be an early-career engineer eager to grow their technical expertise in pressure vessels, piping, storage tanks, and other static equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Maintenance and Inspection teams to troubleshoot mechanical issues with pressure vessels, storage tanks, and piping systems.
Support development and implementation of equipment maintenance strategies that improve reliability and comply with applicable codes and standards.
Identify and help resolve operational reliability issues to enhance plant performance.
Generate Management of Change (MOC) documentation and maintain unit records, tabulations, and drawings.
Develop basic engineering packages for plant improvement projects.
Perform thickness calculations per API 510 and API 570.
Participate in Turnarounds and other planned outages as needed.
Required Skills & Abilities:
Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Word.
Strong interpersonal communication skills, including technical presentations and consulting.
Solid analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to provide sound recommendations.
Education & Experience:
Bachelor of Science (or higher) degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
15 years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer.

* Work with clients to determine scope of work and estimated costs for both Geotechnical and Forensic engineering projects, as required.
* Perform construction observation services in the field on construction sites as needed.
* Review and prepare engineering reports from project data and field observation notes.
* Review and prepare laboratory-testing assignments for field samples.
* Dictate, detail, and photograph findings of field and lab observations.
* Conduct analyses of field data and laboratory test results supporting the preparation of report data.
* Participate in report preparation as required to satisfy client's needs.

Qualifications:

Raba Kistner is seeking an energetic Engineering Student Intern-CoMET, to join our Consultants team in Lafayette, LA . Under close supervision, the Engineering Student Intern performs research and gathers data related to services.
Work with clients to determine scope of work and estimated costs for both Geotechnical and Forensic engineering projects, as required.
Perform construction observation services in the field on construction sites as needed.
Review and prepare engineering reports from project data and field observation notes.
Review and prepare laboratory-testing assignments for field samples.
Dictate, detail, and photograph findings of field and lab observations.
Conduct analyses of field data and laboratory test results supporting the preparation of report data.
Participate in report preparation as required to satisfy client's needs.
Assist on Geotechnical Engineering studies, Construction Materials Testing projects, and Facilities projects, as required.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
College or university Junior, Senior, or Graduate Student in good academic standing in Civil Engineering, or a closely related field. Intermediate to Advance Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Possess a current valid state issued driver's license and meet company's auto insurability requirements.
Ability to multitask and possess excellent communication, organizational, and judgment skills. Ability to read and understand instructions, labels, reports, etc. Ability to effectively communicate information both written and oral and respond to questions in person-to-person and small group situations with customers, clients, general public and other employees of the organization. Aptim is seeking an energetic and motivated intern to join our Project Controls team in the Baton Rouge, San Diego, Denver or Knoxville offices. APTIM's internship program provides students with the opportunity to apply skills gained in an academic setting to challenging projects and meaningful work assignments. Interns will be paired with experienced mentors and should be prepared to work in a fast-paced environment, finishing their internship having gained a broad experience in various aspects of Project Controls. This is a temporary position.
The STRIVE Internship Program is a 12-week experience running from May 18, 2026 through August 7, 2026. Interns are required to be fully available during Week 1 (May 18--22) and Week 12 (August 3--7) of the program. Week 12 includes company-paid travel to an APTIM office (location to be announced) for an end-of-internship celebration.
Interns are expected to minimize absences to ensure a meaningful program experience. The program observes Memorial Day (May 25, 2026) and Independence Day (July 3, 2026, observed).
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:

Basic Qualifications:

POSITION SUMMARY:
This position is to gives students an opportunity to experience real world career goals by achieving outlined expectations. The focus of the Internship program is to provide engineering students with valuable work experiences and an insight to the Oil States Houma facility and products.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Assist with day-to-day functions in the shop, which could include mechanical assembly, electrical, fabrication, machining, maintenance, and rubber molding.
Shadow and assist Project Engineers on daily activities.
Gain real world experience in heavy equipment fabrication processes.
Follow equipment workflow from Engineering through Final Assembly and delivery.
Become familiar with computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering and design tasks. This will include Inventor, AutoCAD, and ANSYS.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working in a team environment with engineers, drafting, and shop departments.
Perform some load and stress analysis using latest design software as well as hand calculations.
Meet with mentor once every week to review objectives learned and set expectations.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Currently enrolled in BSME or equivalent accredited engineering program as a full time student.
Working knowledge of computer and software.
Must have 3-4 years or minimum of 6 semesters of course work completed.
Understanding of structural and mechanical design concepts.
Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate at all levels within the organization.
Ability to understand and interpret codes such as ASTM, ABS, DNV, AISC, AWS, ANSI, etc.
