RESPONSIBILITIES:
This role supports the Mechanical Integrity group. Job functions will include assisting in mechanical testing of electrical connectors and components, processing and analysis of testing results, and assistance in the development of fixtures used in testing.

Support the product design effort in mechanical analysis such as tolerance analysis, FEA, materials analysis, failure analysis, and creating test plans
Machining and fixture design
Work closely with internal and external suppliers and manufacturing personnel
Supporting the development and validation of product prototypes
Interfacing with customers and other engineering disciplines in the design and manufacturing process of interconnect products
QUALIFICATIONS:
A good candidate should be at least a sophomore in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Materials Engineering programs.
Proficiency in Pro-E or Solidworks
Experience with machining and fixture design are a plus
Experience with Finite Element Analysis tools desirable
Ability to communicate with technical & non-technical people
Ability to work in team environment

Requirements
Knowledge & Skills:

In this role you will get to:
Perform complete mechanical design, including layout, part/assembly modeling, drawings, and mechanical requirements definition.
Support advanced engineering analysis, including system-level thermal analysis, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), and Computation Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations.
Define, design, prototype, validate, and support mechanical systems for products such as Rack-Mounted equipment, modular power devices, UPS's, Rectifiers, Inverters, and more.
Lead mechanical design reviews and provide technical guidance across multiple product lines at Trystar sites.
Work with hardware design engineers to develop PCB mounting and packaging requirements.
Develop detailed 3D CAD models and drawings, including complex surfaces, routed assemblies, and mechanical enclosures.

Job Requirements:
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

As part of this position, the selected candidate will be expected to perform the following duties, including but not limited to:
* Assist the Engineering Division staff in scanning, filing and summarizing water, sewer, road, highway, utility tie card and other related record information to update and complete future projects and programs.
* Scanning, printing, data entry and filing of project documents (hard copy and electronic copy), updating and cataloguing Engineering and Public Works projects records and files.
* Demonstrate proficiency in Microsoft Suite products, including but not limited to Word, Excel, Power Point, PDF. Data entry and proficiency in using excel is a must for the position.
* Assist the Engineering Division in developing plans for bidding, cost estimating, project setup, bid reviews, technical contract document reviews and other similar engineering-related project tasks.
