Position Overview:
The Revit MEP Drafter supports our engineering teams in producing high-quality construction documents for mechanical (HVAC/plumbing) systems. Ideal candidates are comfortable working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative BIM environment.
Essential Job Functions/Duties:
Work with engineers to develop and update original drawings and revisions for engineering projects using Revit MEP models, AutoCAD, 3D, and other software for HVAC and plumbing system projects.
Draft layouts based on engineer markups and red lines.
Coordinate model elements to support various level engineers and project managers during the planning and design stages of projects.
Assist with the development and maintenance of standard Revit families, templates, details and graphic standards.
Assist with the development and maintenance of standard AutoCAD templates, details and graphic standards.
Utilize AutoCAD and Revit to translate mark-ups/sketches into drawings consistent with company standards; check drawings for consistency with standards and plot final drawings; correctly label final work drawings; and update contract drawings and specifications.
Maintain standard drawing files and templates in accordance with company standards.
Assist in field activities to gather project information as necessary.
Coordinate work with disciplines including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, lighting and low voltage.
Work at the direction of the Project Manager.
Provide technical support to other engineers and draftspersons.
Attend staff meetings.
Interact with clients, vendors, contractors, architects and fellow engineers to coordinate designs.
Report to Project Managers and senior management about progress and changes.
Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Required Qualifications:
1+ year of MEP Revit drafting experience.
Ability to clearly communicate verbally and orally about highly technical subject matter.
Thorough understanding of plumbing systems and component materials.

Overview
Omega Technical Services is seeking a Senior MechanicalEngineer (Level III-IV) to to provide support to our client in the North Las Vegas, NV area.
