Who You Are
You are a motivated specialist who enjoys working in a high-energy environment while assisting BHG employees with any technical issues. You provide support and customer service on company-supported computer applications and services. You are a multi-tasker who has experience with ticketing systems and other modern software.
Location: On-site in Syracuse, NY (Opportunity to go hybrid after the first few months).
What You'll Do
Provide desktop support for end-user issues, including but not limited to setting up new users, installing/troubleshooting software applications, configuring printers, and hardware failures.
Installing and configuring new PC hardware and software.
Utilize a ticketing system to prioritize and work through end-user issues; also, actively use and contribute to a departmental knowledge base to streamline ticket resolution.
Create, maintain, and deploy computer images to streamline OS installation.
Provide administration for computer, email, and user accounts to include account creation, password resets and unlocks
Document standards, best practices, and policies and contribute to IT FAQs and Knowledge Base.
Responsible for maintaining inventory system for all IT-related equipment
Assist with regular patch management, ensuring all client workstations are up-to-date and receiving the necessary patches in a timely manner.
Image and setup new laptops and involvement in the onboarding process
Determines and implements solutions to specific laptop issues
Coordinates and installs workstation hardware and software (firmware, patches, upgrades, and enhancements)
Confers with end-users on workstation hardware and software issues involving installation, training, and problem resolution
Participate in crucial technological department projects and perform problem diagnosis of network and desktop environment
Participates in the analysis and explanation of network problems associated with specific workstation problems
Documents and maintains technical support and physical asset records
Provide after-hours on-call support as scheduled
Develops and submits process improvement ideas and communicates to the appropriate team
Educates end-users on the use of technology
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
What You'll Need
Bachelor's Degree preferred or another related field, or work experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
ITIL Foundations Certification preferred
CompTIA A+, Network+, or Security+ certifications preferred
Understanding of TCP/IP, DHCP, and DNS.
Experience with Active Directory; creating user accounts, resetting passwords, group memberships, etc.
Experience supporting Office 365 products.
Experience using a help desk ticketing system for tracking support tickets.
Experience with patch management tools.
Experience with Windows imaging tools.
Proficient in mac OS and Windows.
Experience with single sign-on solutions, mobile device management (MDM)
Excellent troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time management skills.
Able and willing to learn new processes.
Ability to work well within a team.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication, documentation, and collaborative skills.

About this role
The Compression Group in Carrier's Mechanical Center of Excellence is seeking a motivated, result-oriented college student to join our team for the Summer of 2026. The Carrier internship experience offers an environment that provides practical, challenging, and meaningful on-the-job work experience, and the opportunity to apply knowledge and demonstrate strengths in efforts to assist Carrier in achieving its business strategy. You will learn and apply skills in thermodynamics, CAD Modeling, CFD analysis and mechanical design in both an office and laboratory work environment. Key Responsibilities
Apply engineering software such as Cero and Ansys, CFX for CAD modeling and simulation.
Perform Vapor-cycle refrigeration thermodynamic analysis.
Assist and work closely with lab personnel to execute laboratory test plans.
Assist in troubleshooting compressor performance and field issues.
Required Qualifications
Must be currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Duties Description Duties may include but are not limited to;
Under the direction and supervision of a licensed Professional Engineer, incumbents will perform various engineering duties related to projects concerned with new or rehabilitated roads, bridges, railroads, airport structures, construction materials, waterways and roads; select, from a wide variety of alternatives, the most efficient and effective plan of work; review consultant and contractor plans and estimates; and recommend road pavement, drainage construction, traffic management and safety systems, traffic signal and traffic network communication design, construction inspection and operations, traffic data collection processing, analysis and engineering, materials and metallurgical engineering, Engineering for environmental permitting, stormwater management and site remediation, Engineering and analysis of material impacts on climate change (e.g., carbon footprint).
In addition, based on operational need, AEs may be assigned to various program areas throughout their employment duration to support capital program delivery or other critical department initiatives. Successful candidates will be expected to attend and successfully complete any required training.
At the time of appointment, and continuously thereafter, candidates must be able to demonstrate their ability to meet the travel requirements of the position by maintaining a valid license to operate a motor vehicle in New York State or having access to reliable transportation.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department's response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications This title is part of the New York Hiring for Emergency Limited Placement Statewide Program (NY HELPS).*
To be considered for appointment through NY HELPS, or 55 b/c, candidates must meet the open competitive minimum qualifications for this position. The qualifications are:
Engineer Trainee:
Either 1. a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering or engineering technology as listed below;
Or 2. proof of passing the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) AND one year of full-time engineering experience as listed below.
As an Engineer Trainee, you will serve a 24-month traineeship that leads to Assistant Engineer, Grade 20. To advance to Assistant Engineer, you must have obtained proof of passing the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) and successfully completed the requirements of the traineeship to the satisfaction of the appointing authority. At the discretion of the appointing authority, early advancement to the Assistant Engineer is possible if you have obtained your FE and
have successfully completed twelve months of the traineeship. It is your responsibility to notify the appointing authority's personnel office upon obtaining proof of passing the FE. You may receive an increase in salary upon obtaining your FE. Information about this increase will be provided by the appointing authority.
Assistant Engineer:
Either 1. proof of passing the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) AND a qualifying bachelor's degree or higher as listed below;
Or 2. proof of passing the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) Fundamentals of Engineering Examination (FE) AND one year of full-time qualifying engineering experience as listed below.

The starting salary for this position is $72,001.00. This amount is comprised of the base salary of $65,001.00 with an additional geographic pay differential of $7,000.00, specific to this title and location.
* For the duration of the NY HELPS Program, this title may be filled via a non-competitive appointment, which means no examination is required but all candidates must meet the minimum qualifications of the title for which they apply.
At a future date, it is expected employees hired under NY HELPS will have their non-competitive employment status converted to competitive status, without having to compete in an examination. Employees will then be afforded with all of the same rights and privileges of competitive class employees of New York State. While serving permanently in an NY HELPS title, employees may take part in any promotion examination for which they are qualified.

Position Overview
The C&S Technical Resources team is seeking a Mechanical/HVAC Drafter and Detailer to join our Sheet Metal team in the Syracuse area. This is a great opportunity for an individual to help grow our construction practice.
The Drafter/Detailer will be responsible for assisting in delivery of Mechanical and HVAC services in a multitude of markets including healthcare, higher education, entertainment/hospitality, government, aviation, and industrial projects across the United States.
Position Responsibilities
Create layout and ductwork shop drawings utilizing Revit models and/or AutoCAD design drawings integrating proposed equipment submittal documentation.
Collaborate with architects, engineers and project managers to develop and refine project construction documents including plans, elevations, sections, and details necessary for each project.
Coordinate with the other design disciplines (Architects and MEP Engineers) in the delivery of HVAC and Mechanical shop drawing layouts.
Create drawings and technical details for internal shop fabrication.
Communicate effectively with internal and external team members to ensure project success.
Ensure all designs comply with industry standards and project specifications. Familiarity with SMACNA/ANSI/ASHRAE 62.1 design standards is preferred.
Utilize safe work practices in accordance with federal, state, local, and company standards.
Skills/Education/Experience
Associate's degree in Mechanical Technology or a related field.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, CADmep, CAMduct, Revit, and other relevant CAD software.
Strong understanding of SMACNA/ANSI/ASHRAE codes, standards, and construction methods.
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
Prior experience in Mechanical/HVAC drafting is preferred.
