What You Can Expect * Gain direct experience in the aggregate, mining, and asphalt industries. * Work closely with experienced professionals, including Mining Engineers, supervisors, and Environmental Managers. * Get exposure to the full lifecycle of mining and production, from blasting to material processing and quality testing. * Travel and make site visits to various facilities across Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont. * Develop analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment. * Learn about budgeting, throughput costs, and labor requirements. What You Will Do * Assist in reviewing and analyzing production workflows to improve efficiency and flow. * Help with maintenance projects, which may involve designing, fabricating, and installing equipment at HMA facilities. * Collect and analyze data to improve cycle times in load/haul fleets and crusher operations. * Write reports based on findings and input data into software programs. * Support the Environmental Manager with compliance monitoring, reporting, and environmental permitting. * Participate in lab and field testing related to HMA processes to ensure quality standards are met. * Assist in mine planning/engineering to ensure efficient extraction of materials from quarries and pits.
