Job Description RFA Engineering (*************** is an engineering service provider dedicated to delivering our clients with timely engineering support and expertise. We are seeking an Entry-Level to experienced candidate to become an integral part of our engineering team. The selected candidate will work with an experienced engineering staff using state-of-the-art engineering tools & processes. This position will operate onsite at our customer's world-class engineering and manufacturing facility. Mechanical Design Engineer Mechanical Design Engineer will be responsible for the concept and development of mechanical components and systems that may include multiple plastic processes, castings or forgings, stampings, laser cut parts, and welding or bonding of components. Responsibilities Communication with suppliers and customers on product selection and integration Use of Creo and Windchill to support 3-D Modeling of components, sheet metal and possibly hydraulic or electrical routings. Creation and support of 2D drawings and specification documentation Work with manufacturing, product verification and validation, and suppliers to develop efficient and cost effective designs Compile and furnish necessary information (engineering decisions and reports of pertinent design analyses data) to document the design solution required for building of prototypes and adoption of the design with possible involvement of other functional engineers. Primary Job Duties and Responsibilities Create engineering drawings for proposed and existing gas facilities. Assist engineering technicians with design of gas distribution government rebuild, new construction and reliability projects. Assist engineering technicians with field work (inspection, staking, measuring and record verification). Assist with coordination of design and construction of gas facilities with consulting engineers and construction contractors. Assist engineering supervisor with data analysis, summary and reporting. Enter inspections and record data in databases. Update gas distribution maps and records as necessary. Perform additional responsibilities as requested or assigned. MSA has an opportunity for a Water Engineering Intern at our Cedar Rapids, IA office location. This position will offer students hands-on project exposure to a variety of wastewater planning, design, and construction projects in small and medium size communities. You will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects throughout the summer. The various projects you'll be working on make a significant and positive impact on the communities you serve. MSA internships are typically at least 12 weeks in duration, ranging from mid-May 2026 to mid-August 2026, with start/exit dates confirmed later in the hiring process.
