Job Overview The Department of Mechanical and Materials Engineering in the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Cincinnati invites applications for multiple full-time tenure-track faculty positions in the Mechanical Engineering Program. Candidates in two broad areas in mechanical engineering will be considered: (1) Mechanics -experimental, theoretical, and/or computational mechanics. Areas of interest include but are not limited to fracture, inelasticity, energy materials, soft materials, and bio-mechanics. (2) Vibrations and Acoustics - areas of interest include smart materials and structures, vibration and noise control, metamaterials, nonlinear dynamics, rotor dynamics, MEMS/NEMS, structural health monitoring, and biomedical acoustics.
