What Does A Mechanical Foreman Do At TD Industries Inc.

* Ensures safety, quality and productivity processes, procedures, awareness and practices are followed and are the number one priority.
* Identifies and eliminates job site hazards as they are recognized to reduce safety/reliability incidents and their severity.
* Provides liaison between Tool Coordinators, Owners, and Vendors to ensure compliance of installation in accordance with all relevant requirements.
* Plans project specific work schedules, determines manpower levels, and coordinates material and equipment requirements.
* Reviews tool drawings, reviews material take‑off's, layout appropriate systems, and make isometric and schematic sketches from packages, specifications, submittals and job orders.
* Monitors work in progress and inspects completed work to ensure conformance to all relevant requirements.
* Directs the Material Coordinator in the placement and storage of materials, tools and supplies applying 5S principles.
* Understands and is a strict adherent to all installation processes that are designed to help complete projects safely, with a high standard of quality and expected productivity.
* Advises management of potential issues, work interferences, schedule difficulties, etc. and assists in circumventing/resolving such problems as required.
* Ensures appropriate team members are aware of all contract key terms, conditions, scope, inclusions and exclusions through proper site and project orientation.
* Serves as a trade technical expert on issues that are elevated from the field

* Foreman will review, interpret and apply contract guidelines, specifications, scope of work, plans, drawings/ blueprints/CAD renderings, production requirements, quality/production goals, project milestones in preparation for Kick
* Off and Coordination Meetings.
* Provide feedback on errors/potential issues, and write pre-job RFIs.
* Review/provide feedback on budget (especially labor) with Project Management Team before Change Order Zero is done. _-_Plans, schedules and manages labor, subcontractor, materials, deliveries, etc., in tandem with client and Production Manager/DoFO and PMT, using experience, education, skills, knowledge of tools, standard processes, and production and coordinating software.
* Analyzes and develops reasonable expectations of labor, materials, costs, etc., to complete projects, including average productivity rates for demolition and installation/quality review of plumbing/HVAC equipment and materials.
* As a working foreman, must be able to perform direct work.
* This includes being able to sit, stand, bend, walk, climb, crawl and remain in static positions for duration of shift.
* This also requires withstanding exposure to heights, tight/confined spaces; work in areas with dust, temperature extremes, and exposure to external elements (wind, rain, etc.) _-_Coordinates pre-fab/materials/equipment/tool deliveries, fabrication, subcontractor work, and provide daily feedback
* Assign person(s) responsible for job site deliveries, ensuring that are qualified and understand their responsibilities
* Leverages trade experience to maintain quality standards per contract/S&D guidelines_. _ _-_Leads, Manages, Coaches, Motivates, Trains and Develops People to Reach Goals through effective communication, interpersonal reaction, conflict resolution and negotiation of solutions.
* Leveraging strong interpersonal and leadership skills and working knowledge of acceptable practices and legal requirements (OSHA, FLSA, etc.), convinces others to act through recognition and coaching, creating culture of accountability, efficiency, quality, creativity, and safety.
