The Maintenance Supervisor will maintain mechanic equipment, supervise maintenance staff, and coordinate logistics of equipment and supplies. Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Coordination and participation in daily activities of the maintenance team to ensure safe operation of attractions, equipment, and infrastructure.

  • Responsible for planning, executing, and controlling preventive, routine, and corrective maintenance of electro-mechanical equipment.

Job Overview:
Supervises the maintenance and repair of all equipment and building systems associated with the Automated Warehouse Facility. Perform other duties as assigned.


Essential Functions:

  • Supervises, assigns, and inspects the work of the maintenance staff.
  • May be required to participate “hands-on” in some of the maintenance and repair of the equipment.
  • Prepares estimates of work hours, materials, and resources required for projects; approves and initiates requisitions for materials and supplies; and prepares reports and maintains records of repairs.
  • Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs for mechanical equipment and facilities.
  • Prepares reports and analysis setting forth progress of preventive maintenance, work order programs. Identifies any adverse trends and takes appropriate action to correct or makes recommendations and/or conclusions.
  • Responsible for maintaining the most cost-effective spare parts inventory levels, and ensuring minimal downtime by securing an accurately and sufficiently stocked parts area(s).
  • Responsible for compliance to all regulatory requirements as it relates to equipment and facility maintenance including but not limited to OSHA, EPA, and the NFRP programs.
  • Responsible for budget compliance with respect to maintenance labor and expenses. Provides recommendations to continually improve budget expenses. Assists manager in developing annual budgets.
  • Trains and instructs personnel.
  • Regular, dependable attendance and punctuality.

Qualifications and Competencies:

  • High School or GED
  • 2-5 Years Experience Operation and maintenance of a warehouse distribution center or equivalent combination of experience.
  • Knowledge of principles involving mechanical and electrical design, maintenance and repair fundamentals of automated industrial production equipment. Automated warehouse systems knowledge preferred.
  • Must possess proficient knowledge and continuous adherence of OSHA, State and Local safety standards and the MLO Safety program standards.

Job Description

**Summary**

Veolia is recruiting a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to support the maintenance of West Basin's Edward C Little Water Recycling Facility, Hyperion pump station and three satellite plants in the South Bay area.

+ Essential functions include planning, scheduling, and overseeing the installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment ( pumps, motors, valves, compressors, blowers) and storage tanks and conveyance systems (pipes and related equipment).

+ The incumbent will supervise nine O&M mechanical technicians, providing direction and overseeing their work to improve the reliability of plant equipment. The supervisor will be responsible for following the work order process, assigning and scheduling work on the project's CMMS and ensuring all aspects of the work is documented in a timely manner. The Mechanical Maintenance team will regularly support and collaborate with EIC technicians, operators, and engineers to complete planned work as well as respond to emergency situations.

+ Administrative duties may include purchase requisitions, receiving, expense reports, approving time sheets, and other personnel matters.

+ The supervisor will be responsible for providing a daily written maintenance report on the work that has been completed by the team and may be frequently asked to provide incident reports on major failures and maintenance activities.

**Primary Duties / Responsibilities**

+ Prepares written daily maintenance activities report.

+ Plans and schedules daily and periodic maintenance tasks.

+ Directs technicians with scope of work and helps troubleshoot unresolved issues.

+ Performs root cause analysis on failures resulting in loss of production.

+ Schedules calibration of compliance flowmeters and water quality analyzers with external contractors.

+ Orders parts, materials, and consumables for the EIC team.

Qualifications

**Education / Experience / Background**

+ High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

+ A.S. Degree, or some Trade Tech or Technical school preferred. B.S. Degree highly preferred.

+ Six or more years experience in the mechanical maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment facility or a similar industry.

+ Two or more years experience in supervisory position or similar capacity in maintenance and reliability.
