The Engineer, Compute System Engineering is responsible for the implementation and support of compute based infrastructure, including public, private and hybrid cloud deployment models to support critical healthcare operations across The Guthrie Clinic (TGC). This role ensures high availability and performance for clinical systems, patient care services, and administrative functions across the network. The Engineer collaborates with IT teams, vendors, and hospital stakeholders to align server infrastructure with organizational goals and regulatory requirements. Experience:

Responsible for installation and maintenance of server infrastructure along with upgrading/configuration and the life cycle management of hardware.

Position Description

These facilities are located on host dairy farms, where an anaerobic digester produces renewable biomethane gas which is processed on site and then either used to power lean burn piston electric power generators or is delivered into a private natural gas pipeline network operated by the company. Our operations team is split into office staff (this position) and field staff that work on the job sites.
Office staff's close coordination with company field staff ensures high quality outcomes for operations and good relationships with partners, and overall accountability. The role of the office staff is to remotely monitor and troubleshoot electrical generation equipment, biogas cleanup facilities, and biogas pipelines, including order parts and materials. A high degree of organization and systems awareness will be required for this position. Many skills can be learned on the job from existing experts, and the job has an opportunity for advancement.

The Electronics Technician performs basic diagnosis repairs and modifications to electronics systems. Performs the required periodic maintenance, troubleshooting, repairs, installations, and testing of equipment as required. Assist other Technicians in the setup, maintenance, and storage of airfield systems and deep-field camp systems that support aviation operations and weather observing.
This position deploys to McMurdo Station, Antarctica to conduct work locally. The United States Antarctica Program requires all personnel deploying to Antarctica to pass a physical qualification.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Monitors and reports on system readiness, capabilities, limitations, and reliability. Document and archive maintenance actions.
Ensures work center safety and equipment verification; maintain tool inventory and CPR certification.
Submits repair requests, maintain equipment logs and certifications, and manage spare parts inventory.
Calibrates and repairs sensors, test equipment, and support NAVAIDS, communications, and meteorology systems.
Adheres to configuration, security, and frequency management policies and procedures.
Provides 24/7 maintenance support, prepare reports on incidents, system outages, and operational availability.
Setup, maintain, and repair of all NAVAIDS and communications systems; ensure proper equipment installation and compliance with frequency management.
Setup, maintain, and repair of all meteorology systems, and perform maintenance at remote locations.
Attends safety training, maintains a safe work area, and engages in self-development through available training.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Laborer:
High School Diploma or GED. Performs tasks that require mainly physical abilities and effort involving little or no specialized skill. The following tasks are typical of this occupation: Loads and unloads trucks, and other conveyances; moves supplies and materials to proper location by wheelbarrows or hand trucks; stacks materials for storage or binning; collects refuse and salvable materials. Digs, fills, and tamps earth excavations; levels ground using pick, shovel, tamper and rake; shovels concrete and snow; cleans culverts and ditches; cuts trees and brush. Must be able to move and arrange heavy pieces of electronic equipment, office furniture, and appliances; pull outdoor cable; climb structures; use heavy-duty tools; and if properly trained, operate light machinery and equipment.
Electronics Technician Maintenance I:
High School diploma or GED and Formal electronics training from a Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or two (2) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors. Two (2) years of practical experience, to include: electronics repair, maintenance and checkout. Must demonstrate at least one (1) year of practical experience in electronics installation. Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
Electronics Technician Maintenance II:
High School diploma or GED and Formal electronics training from a Technical School, or Class A or B military school in electronics or communications, or four (4) year electronics apprentice program. Formal electronics training, to include: Installation Tasks, Soldering, Cable Dressing, Cable Tray, Conduit, and Making/Repairing Connectors. PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job Title: Electronic Technician Pay Rate: $22 -$25/hour (based on experience) Schedule: Rotational shift -3

The Electronic Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing electronic equipment to ensure on-time equipment availability in support of operational demands. This role focuses on improving maintenance efficiency, reducing nonproductive time, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the Maintenance Base (MB). The technician will work in alignment with Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies and Technology Lifecycle Management (TLM) standards.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain assigned electronic equipment in accordance with the approved maintenance program and RCM strategy.
Execute maintenance activities using the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and follow standard work procedures.
Accurately record maintenance transactions including labor, materials, parts usage, equipment movements, and work orders within TLM systems.
Ensure compliance with TLM Product Line standards and the TLM Competency Management System.
Support initiatives aimed at reducing equipment downtime, improving asset turnaround time, and minimizing work-in-process delays.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance asset utilization, maintenance efficiency, and overall cost of service delivery (CoSD).
Assist with CoSD projects, including planned repair and reuse of parts.
Support productivity improvements for Maintenance Technicians through process and efficiency enhancements.
Participate in failure investigations and root cause analysis as assigned.
Follow all safety, quality, and operational procedures at the Maintenance Base.
Required Qualifications
Experience working as an Electronic Technician or in a related electronics maintenance role
Strong troubleshooting and repair skills for electronic equipment
Experience using CMMS or similar maintenance tracking systems
Ability to work extended shifts (12+ hours) in a rotational schedule
Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote work environment
