Job Description
To oversee all aspects of the front desk in the Center for Comprehensive Care in order to ensure patient satisfaction and timely service delivery.
Additional Requirements
High School/ Vocational High School Graduate or possession of an approved High School Equivalency Certificate required. Bachelor Degree Preferred. Bilingual preferred. Minimum of two years supervisory experience in medical office setting. Thorough knowledge of medical terminology such as ICD10 and CPT code. Thorough knowledge of modern office methods, practices and equipment and ability to perform confidential and complex clerical tasks. Proficient in Microsoft Suite. Experience and knowledge of HIV/AIDS and community resources is preferred. Responsible for the day to day operations of the front desk. Assist in hiring process of front desk staff. Responsible for the training and evaluation process of the front desk staff. Assist front desk staff with registration process, including insurance verification, as needed to maintain efficient patient flow. Oversee appointment system and patient scheduling tasks. Monitor all aspects of patient flow and resolve issues impending patient flow as they occur. Identify and resolve system and process issues as they relate to patient flow. Act as liaison with interdisciplinary team at CCC to maintain efficient patient flow. Coordinate all aspects of the front desk to ensure efficient patient flow and minimize patient wait time to ensure consumer satisfaction. Review clinic policies and procedures and assist in implementing appropriate changes to insure prompt and efficient service delivery. 11. Responsible for CCC patient billing, especially obtaining an appropriate Advance Beneficiary Notification (ABN) for all Medicare beneficiaries. Develop and implement systems to insure accurate billing for consumer services. Oversee the maintenance of all clinic records and files related to daily census and medical services provided to consumers. Perform all clerical function in compliance with departmental rules and regulation. Able to function independently with minimal direction from supervisor. Interact with other disciplines, departments, agencies and insurance companies in a professional manner. Maintain professional relationships will all co-workers. Assist with audits on-site and offsite. Assist in performing compliance audits. Follow HIPAA Compliance at all times. Complies with unit and department scheduling guidelines. Maintain and update professional knowledge and proficiency through continuing education, staff meetings, workshops, and serving on special committees. Promote a positive and healthy workplace environment. Performs other duties as assigned.
