The Environmental Health and Safety Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring our facilities are in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations and our employees as working in a safe and healthy environment. Compliance is ensured through inspections, monitoring, recordkeeping and training with a primary focus on occupational safety of employees and environmental health and safety and a secondary focus on the Environment of Care (EC) and Life Safety (LS).
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, a related field or equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
Minimum Work Experience
3 years experience in environmental health & safety, occupational safety, industrial hygiene, construction safety, and/or hazardous waste management.
Healthcare experience desired.
Required Licenses/Certifications
Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or similar certification preferred.
OSHA 10 certification (OSHA 30 preferred)
Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities
In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and other regulatory requirements.
Field experience in physical plant functions and application of work area hazard assessments/job hazard analyses processes.

In partnership with service line leaders and clinical content experts, the Program Coordinator for Quality and Patient Safety is responsible for service line's overall quality and patient safety programs, including regulatory compliance, data analysis, performance improvement efforts, and other service line activities and special projects to support a culture of safety and compliance with Pay for Performance, Regulations, National Patient Safety Goals, Process and Systems Improvement, Public and Internal Reporting, and Peer Review facilitation.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Quality Improvement:
Pay for Performance
Responsible for the data abstraction of all applicable data measures with strict adherence to the specifications manuals provided by the regulatory body.
Demonstrates applicability of methodology and reliability of definitions of the Core Measure data elements through careful monitoring of data entry into MIDAS (incident reporting system)
Maintains current working knowledge of the changes in data definitions and variables for reporting data measures as assigned.
Responsible for data accuracy, meeting submission timelines for all required entities as assigned by Executive Director.
Responsible for searching external databases and web sites to keep current on all data submission requirements and specifications and using data abstraction tools to produce meaningful analyses and correlation of data.
Process and Systems Improvement
Collects, aggregates, analyzes, and reviews data for improvement opportunities
Coordinates efforts in the development and implementation of action plans to resolve identified clinical/process issues utilizing the PDCA rapid cycle methodology.
Collaborates with clinical educators, coders and other staff to serve as a resource regarding core measures requirements and other quality initiatives.
Utilizes identified national benchmarks and standards of care in the development of action plans for QI/PI.
Supports a hospital-wide culture for continuous quality improvement
Facilitates and collaborates in the designing of new processes that develop/monitor quality indicators
Establishing innovative processes to improve quality
Preparing reports and improvement plans
Consulting on quality monitors, including data collection, sample size, and analytical tools
Supporting our Performance Improvement/Patient Safety /Quality initiatives and taskforces
Maintains proficiency in the use of MIDAS+, DataVision and, all other databases as assigned.
Program Development
Collaborates with respective Quality/Safety Program leaders, sponsors, advisors, content experts, and frontline champions on implementing evidence-based initiatives and monitoring process and outcome measures related to their program(s)
Partners with Program leaders on program evaluation and identification of opportunities for improvement.
Public Reporting and Internal Reporting
Assesses clinical and non-clinical outcomes using the measurement systems established, including data collection analysis and correlation and dissemination of information to internal customers.
Responsible for searching external databases and using data abstraction tools to produce meaningful analyses and correlation of data in simple, understandable graphic format for internal customers.
Peer Review
Under the guidance of the CMO, assists the Medical Staff and Department Chiefs with peer review activities.
Organize findings, actions and recommendations and oversee the maintenance of the MIDAS peer review database. Provide trend analysis of physician specific quality data for re-appointment purposes and performance improvement initiatives
Assists the Executive Director, Quality, the Medical Director, the Chief of Staff and the Chief Quality Officer to ensure the compliance of the Medical Staff with TJC Standards, DPH Conditions of Participation, OSHA regulations and the BoRM PCA semi-annual reporting as assigned
Patient Safety:
Regulatory Compliance
Elicits support necessary to obtain valid, reliable data for reporting to regulatory agencies by remaining current with the regulations/standards and/or requirements as defined by these agencies eg. Center for Medicare and Medicaid (CMS), Board of Registration in Medicine (BoRM), the Joint Commission (TJC), Department of Public Health (DPH).
Maintains current knowledge of all Regulatory changes/Updates and communicate changes to Hospital committees, taskforces and teams as appropriate
Coordinates activities with Executive Director for successful accrediting, licensing, and certification survey activities as assigned by service line (including but not limited to TJC, DPH, CMS, BoRM)
Collaborates with Quality team and respective service line leaders in coordinating completion of the Semi-Annual Quality Analysis Reports for submission to the BoRM.
Participates in Root Cause Analysis (RCS's) and (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA's) as assigned and facilitates process change based on the findings of these activities. Provide support to staff for monitoring and summarizing the effectiveness of the process change
Provides feedback to management on process improvement initiatives, dashboard data, and indicator screening trends as assigned by service line or committee.

Drives Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) by design standards and facilitates design development in collaboration with engineering and Fujifilm disciplines

Director of Drug Safety will be responsible for managing all aspects of the drug safety functions related to US and assigned postmarketing data review and reporting.
Manage the drug safety contract service organizations (CSOs) for postmarket pharmacovigilance with >=95% compliance with periodic reporting, signal management, and global risk management plans and, manage on-time and scientifically sound local safety report preparation, and ensure the drug safety functions of the CSOs meet corporate goals and key performance indicators

Requires at least ten years of drug safety and pharmacovigilance experience (post-market safety experience in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, drug safety contract service organization (CSO)) with at least three years of oversight management experience (line management or CSO management)
Experience in post-marketing safety, including clinical development preferred
Experience with Regulatory submissions for PSUR, PBRER, RMP, and other countries' Regulatory reviews; experience in US, EU Canada, Brazil, Australia preferred
QPPV service management and oversight, PSMF authoring experience

We're currently seeking an HSE Site Project Manager to join our team. This role will begin in our Houston, TX office and transition to the project site(s) in Cameron, Louisiana and/or Lake Charles, Louisiana for the duration of the project execution.
About the Role
Primary Purpose
Lead our Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) programs in alignment with regulatory and corporate guidelines. Oversee the implementation of these programs across Technip Energies (TEN) facilities, ensuring adherence to technical and safety standards as outlined in project plans. This role emphasizes cultivating a strong HSE culture by guiding a local HSE team and collaborating with Construction Managers, Project Managers, subcontractors, and clients.
This position reports to the Head of HSE Americas and is part of the TEN site management team under the direction of the TEN Project Director.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with project leadership to foster a culture of accountability and compliance, inspiring teams to achieve exceptional HSE outcomes.
Ensure local HSE management systems align with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001).
Lead and support a team of HSE professionals, providing strategic guidance, training, and technical expertise.
Promote safe work practices through daily engagement with project teams and subcontractors, including audits, risk assessments, and safety oversight.
Drive HSE awareness through regular communications such as Safety Alerts, Lessons Learned, and Safety Campaigns.
Collaborate with site supervisors and subcontractors to ensure accurate reporting of HSE data, including incidents, near misses, and key performance indicators.
Build strong relationships with stakeholders to address challenges and strengthen the HSE culture.
Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local HSE regulations and policies.
Liaise with regulatory agencies and internal departments to support compliance and effective implementation of HSE plans.
Lead initiatives such as hazard identification walks, toolbox talks, incident investigations, audits, and corrective action implementation.
Analyze incident data to identify root causes and develop action plans to mitigate risks and enhance safety performance.
Evaluate and review HSE targets and KPIs with project teams to ensure continuous improvement.
Provide regular updates to senior leadership on HSE performance and areas for improvement.
Identify and implement risk reduction initiatives throughout project phases.
Support and participate in corporate sustainability efforts, including training, volunteering, and environmental programs.
Continuously improve safety and environmental practices through innovation and collaboration.
Maintain and update HSE documentation, including plans, procedures, and manuals.
Manage work-related injury cases in collaboration with team members and medical professionals.
Establish systems to evaluate subcontractor HSE plans and performance.
Ensure comprehensive HSE training plans are developed and implemented for each project.

Qualifications:

Certifications:

- Maintain facility-wide emergency plans and coordinate with first responders.
- Support business continuity planning and disaster recovery initiatives.
- Serve on the PACE SEMI's emergency response team.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health, or related field.
- Master's degree preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 3-5 years in EHS roles, preferably in a healthcare or laboratory setting.
- Familiarity with infection prevention protocols and hospital accreditation standards.
Certifications:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH), or Registered Environmental Health Specialist (REHS) preferred.
- HAZWOPER, OSHA 30-Hour, or equivalent certifications desirable.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of environmental health regulations and safety engineering principles.
- Excellent communication, training, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with EHS management systems and software tools.
Work Environment:
- May involve exposure to biological or chemical hazards during site inspections.
- Must be available to respond to emergencies outside of normal working hours.
- Frequently required to walk long distances throughout hospital facilities.
