This is an interdisciplinary workshop for scientists, future NGO workers and journalists seeking skills in communicating 21st-century global science to the public. Scientists will be given journalism skills; journalists will learn how to use science as the basis of their story-telling. The course is designed to give students exercises and real-world experiences in producing feature stories on global science topics. Position Summary
The Digital Media Associate will handle operations across all of our online marketing channels as a key contributor to a high-volume digital media advertising program. This role will have hands-on duties within paid search, paid social, display and YouTube platforms. Responsibilities will include research, analysis, tracking, reporting, ad copy creation and creative requests, plus other duties on an as-needed basis.

Set-up campaigns, build keyword lists, define targeting and implement creative assets, including ad copy ideation Own creative asset creation processes, working cross-functionally with internal Creative TeamEnsure media buying procedures and standards are being met across channels from budget, ad serving and targeting perspectives; identify new opportunities to optimize ad operations across the program Navigate digital ad platforms including Google Ads, YouTube, Facebook (Meta) and Pinterest, especially, Google Analytics, to gather data for reporting and presentations Monitor metrics and target KPIs across media channels, assess performance and identify areas in need of attention, and/or areas of opportunity

Qualifications
Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. A. or B. S.) or equivalent from four-year college or university in marketing, business administration, English, communications, or related field of study. 3 year of related work experience in marketing, sales, or retail including working with web analytics and project management. Knowledge of web analytics is a plus. General understanding of the online advertising industry. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.

Computer Skills: To perform this job successfully, an individual must have proficient experience in Microsoft Office 365. Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
