Some places are better than others when it comes to starting a career as a media buyer. The best states for people in this position are Pennsylvania, Oregon, West Virginia, and New Jersey. Media buyers make the most in Pennsylvania with an average salary of $68,819. Whereas in Oregon and West Virginia, they would average $66,680 and $65,097, respectively. While media buyers would only make an average of $64,877 in New Jersey, you would still make more there than in the rest of the country.
