Allen Broome is Chief Executive Officer and has led MediaKind’s Research and Development organization for the past two years as the company’s CTO. Before joining MediaKind, Broome led pivotal technology change in the media industry for over 20 years, including most recently as VP Cloud Engineering at Comcast Cable.

Since joining MediaKind in October 2019, Broome has helped advance the company’s teams in the industrialization of broadcast-quality OTT streaming while also reshaping its portfolio to enable full-service solutions. Under his technology leadership, MediaKind’s 11-time Emmy-winning Engineering team has successfully broken down the barriers of live video delivery.

With a background in software development, Allen is a technical leader with a proven track record of building motivated and productive teams. He has over 15 years’ experience in engineering and leading projects that deliver innovative and highly scalable IP video products and services.

Over a nine-year period working for Comcast, Allen held a number of roles, including VP Cloud Engineering, where he was responsible for aligning the company’s overall cloud strategy, working across both private and public cloud platforms.

Prior to this position, Allen led the Service Delivery R&D function, where he led his team to delivering over 20 patents ranging from encoding, adaptive bit-rate delivery to network optimizations and IP ad insertion. He also developed Comcast’s video optimized CDN, as well as founding and leading the Video IP Engineering and Research (VIPER)Team responsible for the architecture, development, and operations of Comcast’s X1 video platform.

He previously held director and technical roles in Crosslabs, Z Tel, Tornado Development and SwitchCo.

Allen holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina and the Turk School of Business at Dartmouth. He was the recipient of the CED award for Multi-Screen Pacesetter in 2014.

Steve Payne is MediaKind’s Chief Revenue Officer.

Payne joined MediaKind, originally Ericsson Media Solutions, following its acquisition of Tandberg Television in 2006, where he served as Vice President, System Integration and Consulting, overseeing the global business responsible for Services-led Sales, Delivery and Consulting. Payne joined Tandberg in October 2006 as part of its Operations organization and during his time there and with Ericsson, served in a variety of roles including Vice President Sales, AT&T and Vice President, Media Sales for Northern Europe and Central Asia.

Prior to joining Ericsson, Payne was Vice President, Business Operations at Pace Micro (now Arris) and prior to that held strategic sales and operations positions at Qwest (now Century Link) and MCI (now Verizon). He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Campbell University and has completed Executive Courses at Harvard and London School of Business. He also serves on the Leadership Team of the American Heart Association, Los Angeles Chapter.

Boris Felts is a Chief Product Officer at MediaKind and is based in Rennes, Ille-et-Vilaine Department, France.

Jeff is a technologist-turned-entrepreneur who just can’t get enough TV. Jeff learned the Cable/Pay-TV business by watching digital television content rights and advanced advertising businesses evolve, and saw an opportunity to create next generation video switching software that the market demanded. Jeff founded This Technology to uniquely bridge the gap between TV programmers, operators, advertisers, and subscribers. Verizon, Cablevision, ABC Television, NBC Universal, Comcast X-1, and others all licensed ThisTech's platform, and the company was ultimately sold to Comcast in 2015.

Jeff has extensive experience managing both small and large teams of technologists and analysts, both within his own organization, in client organizations, and in offshore development units.

Specialties: Capital raising, M&A, General Management, Digital Media MetaData, Video On Demand systems, Digital Cable, Direct Broadcast (DBS), Patents, IPTV, Trafficking and Billing Systems, and IP-based conditional access and content delivery. Software architecture, management, and execution for leading cable operators, content aggregators, and providers.

Marmolejo brings deep experience gained from working with organizations of all sizes, ranging from growing start-ups and large public companies to multinational technology providers. Marmolejo started her career in public accounting where she spent seven years serving clients across multiple industries. She later held several corporate finance leadership roles within both public and private companies, including CFO of Tendril (now Uplight), where she was part of the core team that transformed the business to a SaaS model, raised complex strategic capital, grew the valuation substantially and positioned the company for the eventual sale to Private Equity.

David Medrano is a Chief Administrative Officer at MediaKind and is based in Dallas/Fort, Fort Worth, Texas. He has worked as Vice President Global Human Resources at SCIENTIFIC GAMES CORP; Director of Human Resources at LeEco US; and HR Director, Mobile Division at SAMSUNG ELECTRONICS AMERICA. David attended Brigham Young University Hawaii, BYU Law School, and Southern Methodist University SMU.

As CTO and Head of Strategy for MediaKind, Mark Russell leads technical and business strategy, strategic business development, M&A, and executive support for key customer and partner relationships. Mark brings over 20 years of experience in media technology. He was at Microsoft for over ten years leading product development for the Mediaroom TV platform and Playready DRM. During that period Mark oversaw the development of both products from incubation to scale businesses. While at Microsoft, Mark participated and lead several strategic initiatives on the future of video entertainment including the emergence of Cloud technologies and as-a-Service business models. He came to MediaKind in 2013 with the acquisition of the Mediaroom business. Since joining EMS, Mark has led strategy for the entire portfolio. Mark has a computer science degree from Santa Clara University and has taken executive courses in Finance and Innovation Management from Harvard Business School and Stanford Executive Education.
