Education

Deliver patient education on disease management, medication adherence, lifestyle improvements, and social determinants of health (e.g. nutrition, housing, etc.).
Work under clinical protocols to treat/manage health issues, escalate when necessary, consult virtually with advanced providers (NPs, RNs, physicians).
Coordinate care: schedule or facilitate follow-ups, referrals, community resources, and linkages with other health or social services.
Document all care, assessments, and patient encounters thoroughly, using the organization's mobile electronic patient care record (ePCR) system.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Responding to emergencies efficiently and promptly
* Administering basic first aid and medical support to patients, in accordance with federal, state, local and company policy and regulations
* Assessing the nature and extent of injuries/illnesses to prioritize medical procedures
* Effectively communicating with medical professionals and treatment facilities to obtain instructions regarding further action
* Effectively communicating with client and site personnel regarding any worksite incidents, hazards, etc.
* Demonstrating a strong orientation towards team work and the ability to understand the importance of team coordinated efforts
* Demonstrating a strong ability to be cognizant of the constantly changing worksite environment and construction site hazards
* Ensuring that quality, clinical standards are practiced at all times
* Documenting all findings and treatments clearly and concisely
* Conducting oneself in a helpful, dignified and professional manner regardless of stress level and personal circumstances
* Assisting the Site Safety Managers and Personnel in maintaining the most safe and secure work environment possible
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
* Paramedic (EMT-P) State Certification and/or National Registry; must provide proof of reciprocity
* Previous EMT/Paramedic experience, 1st response experience or emergency 911 experience preferred
* Flexible schedule: Days, Nights, Weekend availability required
* Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification; any additional certifications are a plus
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with client and employees

Shift Differentials:
Mon-Thurs: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM ? + $4/hr
Fri-Sun: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM ? + $5/hr
Sat-Sun: 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM ? + $4/hr
Sign-On Bonus:
$2,500 for Full-Time
(½ paid at 6 months, ½ at 1 year)
$1,250 for Part-Time
(½ paid at 6 months, ½ at 1 year)
What You'll Do
As a Paramedic with MedCare, you'll be a vital part of our mission to deliver premier medical transportation. You will:
Provides high-quality pre-hospital emergency care and intra-facility patient transport
Promotes effective communication and teamwork between management and field staff
Operate company vehicles safely and professionally.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals and first responders.
Represent MedCare with courtesy, professionalism, and compassion in every interaction.
What is Required
Current Ohio Paramedic License and American Heart Association CPR & ACLS certification
Valid driver's license with a clean record.
Comprehensive knowledge of emergency transportation procedures
Ability to transport and assist patients up to 350+ lbs safely and professionally
Strong interpersonal and communication skills under stressful conditions
Ability to drive for extended periods, maintaining alertness and professionalism
Demonstrated ability to manage stress and perform in uncontrolled or unpredictable environments
Must maintain competency on assigned and alternate modes of transport
