Coast Personnel Services medical assembler job description

· Put Safety First. Identify and report any unsafe condition that affects employee safety, including good housekeeping (5S) and PPE.

· ATTENDANCE IS VERY IMPORTANT. All Associates are required to report to their scheduled shift on time and work their entire shift.

· Trim, Inspect, Package parts as applicable (customer specific).

· Communicates and reports reject data and notification to Production Supervisor or Team Lead

· Complete paperwork accurately per Good Documentation Practices (GDP) standards.

· Provide relief for coworker’s breaks as required by Team Leader or Supervisor.

· Receive and follow instructions given by the Team Leader, Supervisor, or Manager.

· Other duties as assigned.

EXPECTATIONS:

· Develop skills to perform basic, repetitive, and manual activities in the job and ability to meet production rates

· Following existing procedures and Operator Instructions (OI) independently or with minimal supervision

· Participate in Continuous Improvement Events & Problem Solving

· NO disciplinary actions in the last nine (9) months or no attendance issues in the last nine (9) months

· Responsible for questioning quality of products to identify defects

· Work overtime as needed (daily and or weekends/holidays)

· Ability to work as a team

· Ability to read, understand, and follow specification sheets

· Basic math skills to understand production totals and deductions, product tolerances and variation

REQUREMENTS:

· Capable of working under a microscope

· Ability to understand English (verbal and written)

· Excellent vision & hand-eye coordination

· Extended periods of sitting

What You'll Work OnPerform a wide variety of tasks and processes that are required to build, assemble, inspect, and package products in a controlled manufacturing environment using microscopes and small-handled tools.Participate in ongoing training activities designed to build cross-functional teams and provide job growth for team members.Maintain compliance with GMP, Penumbra's Quality Manual, Standard Operating Procedures, Work Instructions and other company standards.
What You BringAn interest in health care and/or manufacturing, and the desire to learn something new every day.Prior experience in manufacturing or health care desired, preferably in the production of medical devices. The ability to actively participate in a teamwork environment that maintains a high performance culture.The ability to sit or stand for long periods and use small-handled tools and microscopes for several hours at a time.The ability to lift and move of up to 25 pounds, as well as the ability to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms, and to work in a noisy environment.Strong oral and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions in English.
What We Offer6-month, contract employment for second shift. Hours are: 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, Monday through Friday.Pay starting at $18.00 per hour.
