The PA will help manage patients pre-and post-operatively in the office and will assist with peri-operative rounding in the hospital. The PA will be responsible for performing comprehensive physical examinations, reviewing each patient with the doctor, communicating with the patient care pathway, ordering conservative treatments, and managing prescribed medications. The Physician Assistant will see patients at the office on clinic days, will assist with surgery on surgical days, and will round on patients in the hospital. Job Responsibilities Include: Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests Develop treatment plans and prescribe medications in collaboration with Dr. Shay Bess Provide pre- and post-procedure patient education and follow-up care Maintain compliance with documentation, safety, and regulatory standards Collaborate closely with the multidisciplinary care team to ensure optimal outcomes Performs hospital rounds for inpatients. Provides coverage with evaluation, treatment, and documentation of service for patients requiring spine care. Assists the physician during office hours including preoperative and postoperative instructions. Triage and respond to patient questions. Documents all patient encounters. Dictates Medical Necessity letters. Complete forms for Workman's Compensation and Disability. Discuss patient care and necessary home equipment with Homecare Nurse. Prepare discharge letters and make post-operative calls to referring physicians. Reviews charts preoperatively and document and communicate information to the care team. Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization. Identify, analyze, and resolve patient care issues to foster significant improvement in patient care and outcomes Document patient encounters in an accurate and timely manner. We have an immediate opening for an experienced and dedicated full-time Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative to join the team in Central Park, Colorado location. The schedule is working Monday through Friday, daytime hours(7:30AM-4:00PM). The pay is up to $21 per hour. There is not an application deadline for this position. How You'll Contribute: We always do whatever it takes, even if it isn't specifically our "job." In general, the Medical Assistant/Patient Service Representative is responsible for: High volume of phlebotomy Maintain supplies for the blood drawing stations Ensure lab specimens are sent to proper labs Document patient care services utilizing daily logs and patient records Utilize the computer in entering labs and printing labels Provide high level of customer service to patients Schedule appointments, answer phone calls Check patients in/out Prescription refills Pre-authorizations for medication What You'll Bring: The skills and education we need are: Must have completed formal MA education/certification Strong phlebotomy skills are required Extensive knowledge of insurance/benefits, medical terminology and medical billing Background in women's health and fertility/IVF experience preferred Strong patient orientation and be a team player Professionalism and strong customer service skills a must More important than the best skills, however, is the right person.
