Responsible for participating in and supporting the resident centered activity program. Completes required written documentation concerning resident care and activities during shift
Is a resident advocate at all times and follows agency policies concerning confidentiality
Uses tactful, diplomatic communication in potentially sensitive or emotionally charged situations and follows up with appropriate staff, resident or others regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns.
Acts as ambassador to guest and other off-campus visitors and maintains certifications required for employment

The Medical Scribe for SoNE HEALTH Medical Group/Bear Pond Family Medical and Pediatrics will assist the clinical team by documenting patient encounters in real time. This is a full time, 40 hour position. The Medical Scribe will manage electronic medical records (EMR) for the provider, transcribe referrals directed by provider, assist in clerical work, and facilitate communication between the provider, staff, and patients. This position requires strong computer and typing skills, attention to detail, ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA regulations, and a proactive mindset with the ability to think ahead and anticipate needs.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Accompany provider into patient visits with laptop.
Perform thorough, real-time medical charting to include patient history, complaints, HPI, physical exam, treatment, and care, etc. as appropriate.
Ability to locate pertinent medical information upon demand in EMR for provider i.e. lab results, radiology results, specialty progress notes, hospital discharge summary, etc.
Transcribe referrals for specialists, exams, and tests discussed during visit and e-fax to appropriate facility or provider, as directed by provider.
Assist with completion of routine forms such as school and sports physical forms and coordinate with administrative staff to send to applicable persons and/or facilities.
Score developmental/behavioral forms and evaluations and input data into EMR to include ASQ, PHQ-9, EPDS, etc.
Manage and prioritize the provider's clinical workflow to ensure timely patient flow and minimal delays.
Assist with provider inbox management, ensuring urgent matters are flagged and routine items are addressed efficiently.
Attach medications to chart for provider to review and sign refills.
Anticipating next steps and ensuring efficient patient care.
Responsible for ensuring detailed, timely, accurate, and complete medical records for each patient.
Document future clinical needs for patients including orders, tests, procedures, etc. for clinical staff coordination
Document follow up appointments prior to patient check out for administrative staff, based on provider's instructions and office policies.
Follow strict HIPAA guidelines, privacy of patients and visits at all times.
