Essential Functions, Key Duties, & Responsibilities
Assist residents with activities of daily living including but not limited to; bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and medication reminders in accordance with care plans and established community policies and procedures.
Assist residents with lifting, turning, transferring, positioning, and transporting into and out of beds, chairs, bathtubs, wheelchairs, lifts, etc.
Assist with dining room services at assigned mealtimes, including set-up, clean-up, meal tray delivery, feeding assistance, and documentation of meal intake.
Monitor the residents' physical and cognitive wellbeing and report changes to the nurse and supervisor.
Deliver nutritional supplements to residents at assigned times and provide resident assistance as needed to ensure intake. Document intake per community policy/procedure.
Participate in life enrichment programming and providing meaningful activities to residents.
Document resident care timely and accurately.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Comply with all policies and procedures and any updates.

Education: High School Diploma/GED
Licenses/Certifications: Certified Nursing Certification may be required depending on state regulations

Description
This is a part-time, 25 hours per week, phlebotomy position located at a client site in Yorkville.
Must be able to work Monday through Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm.
The Phlebotomist reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.
The Phlebotomist provides expert phlebotomy services and must demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills. The phlebotomist must have the ability to function as part of a highly effective team that consistently puts "Patients First".
The Phlebotomist is responsible for venipuncture collection and specimen processing. Other responsibilities include but are not limited to order entry in multiple systems, verification of test result receipt, patient information retrieval and lab reception/clerical duties and functions.
Responsibilities:
Performs phlebotomy and other lab specimen collections per age related standards and in accordance with departmental policies, protocols and procedures.
Demonstrates AIDET model and optimizes patient safety to reduce the likelihood of medical/health care errors.
Receives and reviews physician orders; ensures that all necessary information is included for appropriate lab services. Enters accurate orders for lab tests in accordance with department policies, protocols and procedures.

Communicates and notifies Laboratory and/or Physician of problems with specimen procurement for optimal care
Maintains a safe work environment, holds self-accountable for safe work practices; including adhering to biohazard waste procedures and ensuring proper storage and timely pickup of biohazardous waste.
Performs lab-related clerical duties include but not limited to order entry, verification of test result receipt, patient information retrieval as well as utilization of email, medical record systems, handheld and desktop devices, ordering and maintaining supply inventory, filing and sanitizing equipment as necessary
Uses department's resources efficiently; participates in efforts to reduce costs and streamline work processes.

Job Summary:
Chicago Cosmetic Surgery and Dermatology is looking for exceptional Pre-Med and Pre-PA students who are taking 1-2 gap years prior to medical school/PA school to work as a clinical assistant. The MedicalAssistant will work in a very fast-paced and hands-on environment while performing routine administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running smoothly. All training will be provided on-site. Additionally, students are given mentorship and guidance in their professional school application process.

Position Accountabilities and Performance Objectives:
Verifies patient information by interviewing the patient, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit.
Prepares patients for examination. Sets up rooms for appropriate procedures.
Assists providers with examinations, cosmetic procedures, and surgeries.
Documents all patient notes in an electronic medical record, NexTech.
Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; keeping patient information confidential.
Responds to patient telephone inquiries.
Maintains pathology and laboratory logs.
Administers medications and injections as needed.
Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt. Keep exams rooms fully stocked.
Cleans and sterilizes instruments.
Keeps equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Serves and protects the dermatology practice by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements.
Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
Maintains professional image through proper attire and grooming.
Performs other duties as needed.
