Responsibilities and Duties · Assist providers with direct patient care, including vital signs, patient histories, and clinical procedures. · Administer medications as ordered by a physician or mid-level provider. · Document care accurately in the electronic health record (EHR) and maintain organized patient records. · Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and assist with coordination of referrals and follow-up care. · Monitor patients for clinical changes and report concerns to the provider promptly. · Maintain medical equipment, ensure exam rooms are properly stocked, and report safety or equipment issues. · Uphold infection control standards and comply with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulatory requirements. · Support quality improvement and customer service initiatives. · Communicate professionally with patients, staff, and external contacts. · Promotes the principles of healthcare integration and the Patient- Centered Medical Home. · Maintain punctual and reliable attendance to meet department needs. What We're Looking For: High School Diploma or GED required. Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Certified through AAMA, AMT, or NCCT preferred. BLS/CPR certification required. Experience with EHR systems and outpatient primary care settings preferred. Compassion, attention to detail, and a team-oriented attitude.
