Where You'll Work
As an on-site medical scribe, you could work in a variety of healthcare settings - from doctor's offices to emergency departments. With over 80 specialties nationwide, we'll match you to the best fit based on your schedule, interests, and location.
* Outpatient (Doctor's Office): Typically weekday hours (around 8-5, Monday-Friday), with some offices offering evening or weekend shifts. Ideal if you prefer a consistent routine.
* Emergency Department: Open 24/7 - there's always something happening! Great for those who need flexibility or are balancing school and other commitments.
Schedule Options
We offer both part-time (2-3 shifts per week) and full-time (3-4 shifts per week) positions. Shifts are usually 8 hours but can vary depending on site needs.

From common rashes to skin cancer treatments, plastic surgery procedures to an array of vein treatments, no case is beyond our experience and expertise.
We are seeking a Vein MedicalAssistant to operate as the first point of clinical contact for patients in the office performing a variety of basic clinical functions including preparing surgical trays, assisting with venous procedures, and using software for recording medical records, billing, and insurance records.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Arrives on time and sets up exam/procedure/cosmetic rooms, prepares solutions, prepares sterilized packs, and sets up equipment.
* Shows patients to exam rooms; obtains and documents on EMR accurate patient history including skin history and general medical history, current medications, and identifies the purpose of patients visit that day
* Turns over patient rooms by removing sharps, cleaning, and setting up for the next patient.
* Aids in cleaning/sterilizing instruments, checking expiration dates of supplies and medications; discards trash and biohazard containers/bags
* Maintains clean, fully stocked, organized, and up-to-date rooms upon arrival and prior to leaving work.
* Prepares Rx per provider instructions and sends to specified pharmacy; accurately documents EMR results of each patient visit including ICD10 diagnoses, CPT codes/charges, plan/treatments, medications given, pharmacy information, and follow-up visit.
* Performs triage, prior authorizations, post-op calls, prepping for next-day procedures/appointments
* Documents conversations appropriately with patients when discussing treatment, orders from the physician/provider, and insurance or finances.
* Provides patients with post-op instructions, teaching and education on venous insufficiency and corresponding treatment, accurate insurance coverage information
* Uses appropriate software to record medical records for use in treatment, patient and insurance billing
* Assist providers during office visits ("scribe") including accurately documented in the medical record, the various anatomic locations and activities as the provider is examining and treating, cosmetic procedures, surgical procedures, (including maintaining a sterile environment, changing bandages, input treatment plan including correct site and CPT's)
* Accepts additional projects as assigned by department leads.
* Works in a team environment, maintaining professional relationships with patients, providers, supervisors, and administrators
