Orders and interprets appropriate diagnostic tests and laboratory studies within protocol guidelines. Develops and provides a relevant patient education plan. Prescribes and administers appropriate pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic therapies. Participates in assisting and performing common minor urological procedures. Makes appropriate referrals to other health professionals and community agencies. Determines the effectiveness of the plan of care through documentation of client care outcomes. Reassesses and modifies the treatment plan as necessary to achieve medical and health goals Completes all documentation in EMR in a timely fashion. Codes patient visits accurately and appropriately. Participates in quality assurance review on a periodic basis, including systematic review of records and treatment plans. Treats patients and their families with respect and dignity.
