Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) or Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) certification is preferred

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This role requires a variety of physical activities to effectively perform essential job functions. The position involves frequent walking (75%), sitting (50%), and standing (50%), with regular bending, stooping, and reaching (25-50%). This position will work M-TH, 8:30-5:00 and Friday, 8:30-12:30. There are no weekends or holidays and employee benefits are offered! This position will work Tuesday and Friday in Holland office and Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday at the Secor Rd office location.
Qualified candidates will have previous medical office experience with a strong knowledge of medical terminology.
General Summary:
Document physician dictated patient history, physical examination, family, social, and past medical history as well as document procedures, lab results, and any other information pertaining to the patient's office visit.

Accompany physician into the patient examination room in order to transcribe a history and physical exam, and document accurately the physician's encounter with the patient and others present
