RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospital Corpsmen (HM) assist health care professionals in providing medical care to Navy personnel and their families. Specifically, Hospital Corpsmen may be called upon to:
Perform emergency medical treatment on SEALs, Seabees, Marines and other military personnel injured in the field, as well as on Sailors aboard ships or aircraft

dental X-rays and operate X-ray equipment
Serve as an operating room technician for general and specialized surgery

Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Provides compassionate and high-quality patient care and implementation of evidence-based medical practices (70% clinical, 30% administrative/leadership).
Serve as a clinical leader within a multidisciplinary clinical environment to strategically improve health outcomes for empaneled patients in a coordinated manner.
Provide clinical direction for clinic support staff, such as health coaches, medicalassistants, and front desk staff, to ensure excellent clinical care.

Required Experience / Education:
* Graduate of a certified medicalassistant program
* OR approved state agency in CA.

* Medical terminology proficiency.
* Current BLS
* Working knowledge of computers and software including but not limited to Microsoft Office products
* Proficient typing skills
* Demonstrated organizational skills, problem-solving, analytical skills and detail oriented
* Strong written and oral communication skills
* Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize workloads multi-task and manage priorities in order to meet deadlines
* Ability to maintain the confidentiality of protected health information in compliance with HIPAA regulations
* Work is indoors in an office environment with moderate noise.
* Intermittent physical effort involving lifting of up to 25 pounds, standing, sitting, walking, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and supporting patients is required.
* A typical workday may involve exposure to virus, disease and infections.
* Also frequent use of a keyboard, and reaching with hands and arms required.
* Normal vision and hearing abilities required, including close vision and ability to adjust focus.
