The Medical Transcriptionist under the direction of the Medical Transcription Supervisor performs the daily activities of transcribing pathology reports from digital voice dictation. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Return dictated reports in electronic form for physician's review, signature, and corrections, and for inclusion in patients' medical records. Review and edit transcribed reports or dictated material for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, and proper medical terminology. Transcribe dictation by pathologists and histological staff regarding the gross and microscopic descriptions and diagnosis of anatomic pathology. Distinguish between homonyms and recognize inconsistencies and mistakes in medical terms, referring to dictionaries, drug references, and other sources on anatomy and, physiology. Translate medical terminology and abbreviations into their expanded forms to ensure the accuracy of patient and health care facility records. Identify mistakes in reports and check with doctors to obtain the correct information. Perform all job responsibilities in alignment with the industry's best security practices and regulatory guidelines to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected health information and other sensitive company data. Your Role as a Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) We are looking for a dedicated Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) to join our team and provide high-quality care for our residents. The CNA plays a crucial role in assisting residents with daily living activities and ensuring their comfort and well-being. What You'll Do: Provide direct physical and emotional care to residents, including personal hygiene, transferring, and lifting. Assist residents with activities of daily living and meal support. Accurately observe, record, and report resident care, conditions, and concerns. Communicate through reports to staff on preceding and oncoming shifts. Provide housekeeping duties, including cleaning common areas and resident rooms. Greet visitors, answer phone calls, and provide tours when necessary. Maintain resident confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines. Follow resident care plans and maintain a safe living environment. Physical Demands: Standing, sitting, walking, and changing positions frequently. Lifting up to 25 lbs.; pushing, pulling, or lowering up to 100 lbs. Ability to push a resident in a wheelchair up to 350 lbs. Utilize safety equipment such as gait belts and mechanical lifts as required. RESPONSIBILITIES Hospital Corpsmen (HM) assist health care professionals in providing medical care to Navy personnel and their families.
