We seek candidates who are interested in providing comprehensive perioperative care to our patients, who communicate well, and embrace striving for the perfect patient and family experience. The plastic surgery and craniofacial multidisciplinary teams provide more procedures than other programs in the region, using a collaborative approach including specialists in nutrition, orthodontia, otorhinolaryngology, occupational therapy and genetics. Conditions treated in our program include a variety of congenital anomalies, cleft lip and palate, craniosynostosis, positional plagiocephaly, rare and complex syndromes, small jaws and airway obstruction, skull defects, and more. Physician Assistants II (PA-II) provide proficient, comprehensive health care services to a defined patient population; obtaining the health history; performing a physical examination, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures; formulating and implementing a plan of care; and participating in patient and family education. Render care within the homes of ArchWell Health members within service area, in conjunction with a primary care provider Critically listen and engage with patients throughout appointment, ensuring needs and/or changing in patient conditions are reported to PCP, specialists, and/or other clinical personnel Perform all tasks with a hyper focus on patient experience, including processing of patient phone messages, including returning calls; routing calls to other team members as appropriate; calling patients to obtain and relay pertinent information for the physician. Change dressings, apply bandages, remove sutures and other first aid procedures; use CPR skills when necessary, all under physician supervision Ensure compliance with OSHA safety standards and conduct accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times. Provide health coaching to a defined group of patients to support healthy lifestyle choices; follows up with coached patients via weekly calls. Candidate should have the ability to report to homes of members within assigned region, and centers throughout the market with short notice. Organization will normally have schedule posted 1 week in advance, but there will be occasional needs to float candidate to other centers and adjust the schedule as needed. Any travel mileage in addition to travel to home center will be reimbursed at the standard rate. Required Skills/Abilities: Must possess a high degree of emotional intelligence and integrity, driven and focused work ethic. Self-starter with the ability to think creatively and work effectively. Ability to work effectively with various seniorities and diverse populations including staff, providers, members, family members, insurance carriers, vendors and market leadership. Strong communicator that is customer-oriented Excellent critical reasoning, decision-making, and problem-solving skills to analyze situations, determine risks, and find solutions to prevent future issues and resolve recurring defects. Experience with claims/quality reports and analytical software packages Proficient skills in Microsoft Office Suite products including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook and Excel plus a variety of other word-processing, spreadsheet, database, e-mail and presentation software. Ability to travel on occasion for company meetings. Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent education (GED) required. Valid, active drivers license with reliable access to a personal vehicle on a daily basis Ability and willingness to use personal vehicle to travel between member homes in assigned coverage throughout the workday, and to, at times, store equipment in the trunk of a personal vehicle Ability and willingness to transport and lift necessary equipment to conduct at-home visits (anticipated maximum of 20 pounds) Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program OR comparable healthcare vocational training (i.e. foreign-trained physician, paramedic, etc.) required A minimum of 3 years work experience as a Medical Assistant 1 year of phlebotomy experience. BLS for Healthcare Providers required. EClinicalWorks or similar EMR experience Experience working with geriatric patients is a plus.
