About the Opportunity: Department: Family Health Schedule: Monday to Friday Hours: 35 hours a week Responsibilities: Monitor patient arrival and coordinate patient flow with the Physician and other care team members to ensure a positive patient experience Escort patients to exam room, monitor patient wait times, assist patient in preparing for exam and advise the Physician when patient is ready Prepare patients for examination by performing preliminary physical tests and documents in EMR Perform blood draws and EKGs, as ordered Assist the Physician with procedures as appropriate (e.g. sets up area, obtains equipment, and supplies, witness consents as needed) Assist patients with referrals, appointments as necessary Keeps adequate supplies available by inventorying stock on a regular basis; maintains inventory of pharmaceutical samples and maintains log book for review Perform other duties, as needed Qualifications: High School Diploma / GED 1 year of experience as a Medical Assistant (MA) Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) program Medical Assistant (MA) certification CPR certification EKG and Phlebotomy training
