This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary team in the Animal Cancer Care & Research Center (ACCRC), within the Virginia Tech Carilion Research Institute's biomedical research building in Roanoke. The successful candidate will join an oncology team that includes 2 other medical oncologists, a radiation oncologist (a second radiation oncologist search is open), 2 surgical oncologists, 3 medical oncology residents, 1-2 oncology interns, 1 medical dosimetrist/radiation therapist, 1 radiation therapist/CT technician, and multiple oncology technicians and assistants. The ACCRC is equipped with a USP800 compliant chemotherapy administration suite, a 64-slice CT scanner (Siemens SOMATOM Confidence), digital radiography, ultrasonography, 3 operating rooms, and a state-of-the-art linear accelerator (Varian Edge) with stereotactic radiation therapy capabilities. Provides continuity and coordination of care in the outpatient setting.
