MedicalAssistant Position Overview:
As a MedicalAssistant, you will play a vital role in patient care and support within our practice. You will assist our medical team in providing high-quality aesthetic treatments and ensure that patients feel comfortable and informed throughout their visit. Your responsibilities will include both clinical and administrative tasks, contributing to a smooth and efficient workflow.
Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Assist with patient intake by gathering medical histories, reviewing consent forms, providing patient comfort when necessary (and recognizing when it's needed), and documenting patient information accurately.
Assisting Procedures: Support the medical team during aesthetic treatments and procedures by preparing equipment, materials, and patient care areas. Turning over and cleaning rooms efficiently. Drawing blood for PRF treatment
Patient Education: Provide patients with information regarding treatment plans, reviewing consent forms, pre- and post-care instructions, and answer any questions they may have. Review retail skincare products and put together skincare routine cards.
Administrative Support: Ensure patient records are maintained accurately and confidentially. Ensure patient charts are closed by end of week
Inventory Management: Assist in managing medical supplies and equipment inventory, ensuring all necessary items are stocked and prepared for procedures. Ensure product charted matches product added as consumed which matches remaining product in fridge.
Collaboration: Work closely with the clinicians to ensure seamless patient flow and excellent patient experiences. Constant monitoring of front office and patient rooms to ensure needs are met where back log is most present.
Compliance: Uphold safety and hygiene standards in accordance with healthcare regulations, ensuring a clean and safe environment for patients and staff.
Appointment Management: Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments efficiently using our scheduling software. Ensure that the appointment calendar is organized, optimized, and up-to-date.
Payment Processing: Handle patient payments and inquiries accurately and confidentially.
Front Desk Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front desk area. Ensure that all necessary materials, forms, and supplies are readily available.
Communication: Collaborate effectively with the team to relay important patient information and ensure seamless patient flow.
Qualifications:
Previous experience as a MedicalAssistant or in a similar clinical role is required; experience in medical aesthetics is a plus.
Certification from an accredited MedicalAssistant program is preferred.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.
Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic computer applications.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to aesthetic treatments is an advantage.

What you will do:
Accurately and thoroughly document medical visits and procedures as they are being performed by the physician, including but not limited to:
Patient medical history and physical exam,
Procedures and treatments performed by healthcare professionals, including nurses and physician assistants.
Patient education and explanations of risks and benefits.
Physician-dictated diagnoses, prescriptions and instructions for patient or family members for self-care and follow-up
Prepare referral letters as directed by the physician
Dictation/faxing/phone calls and clerical tasks. Medical Scribes are asked to prepare referral letters as directed by the physician, via dictation or summary of the medical record. Medical Scribe also ensures that letters are mailed or faxed daily to all physicians involved in a patient's care and with all copies of pertinent reports or tests attached. You may be asked to research contact information for referring physicians, coordinate referrals, prepare operative reports, make phone calls, manage the providers schedule and other clerical tasks as assigned.
Medical Scribes also spot mistakes or inconsistencies in medical documentation and check to correct the information to reduce errors. All addenda must be signed off by a physician. Medical Scribes ensure that all clinical data, lab or other test results, the interpretation of the results by the physician are recorded accurately in the medical record. Alert physician when chart is incomplete. Medical Scribes must comply with specific standards that apply to the style of medical records and to the legal and ethical requirements for preparing medical documents and for keeping patient information confidential.
Medical Scribes collects, organizes, and catalogs data for physician quality reporting system and other quality improvement efforts and format for submission. You will assist in developing and maintaining systems to track patient follow-up and compliance.
Medical Scribes proofread and edit all the physician's medical documents for accuracy, spelling, punctuation, and grammar and often follow the provider to various offices.
Performs additional responsibilities as appropriate to the role and scope of practice.
Assumes other responsibilities as appropriate to the position and organizational needs
Qualifications:
A certificate of completion in a certified MedicalAssistant training program required.
High School diploma or GED.
Current BCLS certification with AED.
Minimum of 1 year of experience in a medical clinic, hospital, or Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) setting.
Proficiency in reading, writing, and comprehending medical documentation.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Consults with clinic providers and nursing staff as needed
