Writes, faxes and/or phones in prescriptions for patients.
Liaison between attending physician and outside consulting physicians regarding patient care.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Update and maintain all client records via the EMR system.
Record patient information such as medical histories, vital signs, etc.
Perform basic lab tests.
Explain treatment procedures to patients.
Instruct patients about medication.
Assist in maintaining the medical inventory and placing orders for new materials as needed.
Coordinate and schedule client appointments as needed.
Complete necessary paperwork and forms.
Call in provider orders to ensure prescriptions are accurate and timely.
Other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working/typing on a computer.
Climbing stairs, walking, bending, reaching, sitting, standing, using hands, see, talk, hear.
Exposure to a medical and clinical environment.
Must be able to lift 20 pounds at times.
Driving in all weather conditions.
