Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities: * Assists with patient care by completing screening questions, medication reviews, obtaining vital signs, and recording height, weight, and other patient data as required. * Prepares exam space for scheduled procedures. * Documents all care provided in the electronic medical record. * Delivers care appropriate for the patient's age and development. * Ensures exam rooms, supply rooms and other areas of the clinic are clean and well stocked. * Cleans equipment according to instructions for use and ensures equipment has current safety inspection dates. * Assists with scheduling appointments, completes electronic patient messages, medication refill requests and patient forms. * Collects lab specimens as directed. * Administers approved medications as directed. * Job description is not an all-inclusive list of duties and may be subject to change with or without notice. Preferred Qualifications: * High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent. * Successful completion of a Medical Assistant training program. * Certification in Non-Aggressive Crisis Management; must be obtained while in department orientation and maintained throughout employment when working within the Behavioral Health setting.
