RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties and Responsibilities
Collaborate with other departments to ensure employees receive appropriate care and programs.
Formulate individualized programs based on health risk assessment results while targeting high need departments with programs and interventions and adjusting programs as needed.
Assist with annual physicals and placement examinations, complete screenings, testing, and results reporting.
Help schedule and complete follow-up exams, return to work exams, and consultation.
Coordinate client referrals to other providers. Either arrange or perform follow-up evaluations of employees with detailed documentation of progress. Document in each employee's medical record.

We are currently seeking a Phlebotomist to work in a Client office. In this role you will provide exceptional customer service, perform skilled specimen collections and be the face of the company. In addition, you will be provided opportunities for continuous growth within the organization.
Phlebotomist's may be eligible for participation in the PST Incentive Plan, which pays a quarterly bonus based on performance metrics.
Work Schedule: Monday -Thursday 8am-5pm, Friday 8am-12pm; additional days and hours may be required

Job Responsibilities:
Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups
Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner
Process billing information and collect payments when required
Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis
Maintain patient and specimen information logs
Provide superior customer service to all patients
Administrative and clerical duties as necessary
Travel to additional sites when needed
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Phlebotomy certification from an accredited agency is preferred
6 months previous experience as a phlebotomist is preferred
Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service
Strong communication skills; both written and verbal
Ability to work independently or in a team environment
Comfortable working under minimal supervision
Reliable transportation and clean driving record if applicable
Flexibility to work overtime as needed
Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Verify the identity of every patient before collecting any samples
identification and sample collection using paper orders in the event of an interruption in computer service
Be aware of Medicare guidelines, send-out test requirements, and special tests; Explain Medicare ABNs to patients clearly and accurately
Perform venipuncture and finger/heel stick procedures with a high degree of professionalism and concern for the patient, including a minimum of 2 sticks per encounter
Collect nasal and throat swabs and blood cultures when needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED
Experience preferred; but not required
