Your Responsibilities:
Greet patients, answer phone calls, and handle check-in/check-out procedures
Perform blood draws and administer injections of testosterone, Gonadorelin, B12, and other vitamins
Check patient vitals and accurately record them in our EMR system
Ensure lab results are promptly input into patient charts
Assistmedical providers with patient care and be an integral part of our healthcare team
Assist in lab operations and maintain precise records in compliance with HIPAA
Schedule appointments and keep our clinic running smoothly
Qualifications:
Valid MedicalAssistant Certification
Valid BLS Certification
At least 1 year of experience in phlebotomy and medicalassisting
Experience in a related field, such as general practice, med spas, urology, family practice, lab, or endocrinology (preferred)
Knowledge of medical terminology

Transcribing patient medical reports and data.

Successful completion of clinical orientation with proven capabilities in skill, knowledge base and vision of Hospitality Health Emergency Room.
Maintains skill level by continuing education, collaborative training with co‐workers and physicians and annual checkoffs.
Customer service experience: demonstrated ability in customer service practice related to direct patient care in high volume, high stress environments.
The PRN (as needed) Scribe is required to work a minimum of two (2) 12‐hour shifts per month/30‐day rolling period. All Scribes are expected to work a rotating schedule to include nights and weekends. The weekend is defined as Saturday and Sunday.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Change dressings, applying bandages, and other first aid procedures.

Disposing of biohazard waste according to OSHA standards.
Practicing OSHA safety standards.
Performing accurate, legal, and ethical documentation at all times.
Performs quality management/assurance activities.
Administrating Intramuscular injections for vaccinations, antibiotics, anti contraceptive, hormonal, or other medications under the order of the provider with proper documentation in the patient's medical records.
Sorting and faxing prescription refills from pharmacy once approved by the provider.
Arrange and assist patients with proper referrals with verification of process with the patient's insurance company including medical consultations, radiology orders, and laboratory orders.
Prepare and assist in release and acquisition of patient medical records after proper consent if received.
Scanning of medically necessary records/consults into the patient's Electronic Health Record for access and retrieval by providers and other staff in a timely manner.
Checking phone messages in a timely manner and returning calls to the patient or routing calls/messages to the responsible party.

Education, Experience, Licensure/Certification and Skills/Abilities Related Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent. Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred. MedicalAssistant Certification preferred. The MedicalAssistant obtains an Associate of Applied Science degree from a CAAHEP-accredited college program. 4. Performs procedures including but not limited to administering injections, collecting specimens, electrocardiogram, hearing test, vision tests, in-house point of care testing, lab draws, and ear lavage.
5. Apply and remove bandages and dressing to superficial incisions or lacerations; apply orthopedic appliances such as knee immobilizers, envelope slings, and similar devices. Remove sutures or staples from superficial incisions or lacerations.
6. Prepare patients for and assist the licensed healthcare professional in examinations or procedures including positioning, draping, shaving and disinfecting treatment sites.
7. Monitors pending referrals, notifies patients of lab results and diagnostic results based on providers written orders, obtains consult notes, and documents attempts within eClinicalWorks.
8. Maintains cleanliness and supplies in each patient room, completes room checklists, and notifies appropriate personnel of clinical supply shortages. Disinfects all medical equipment and exam room tables and surfaces after each patient encounter.
