The Dental Assistant works under direct supervision of the dentist while assisting with patient care, instruments, supplies and records in a correctional environment.
DENTAL ASSISTANT ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepares operatory with appropriate instruments and material for the patients scheduled to be seen.
Assists dentist during treatment, providing instruments, material retraction or suction. Sterilizes instruments and disinfects operatory between patients.
Schedules patients for dental appointments.
Performs laboratory procedures such as mixing impression material for dentures and assists in the clinical procedures of prosthetic dentistry.
Develops and mounts routine radiographs. Assists in maintaining dental charts and records dental findings.
Follows security regulations for keys, sharps, and controlled medications.
Adheres to safety and security policies and participates in disaster drills.
Adheres to Universal Precautions and other appropriate infection control practices.
Inventories and orders supplies to maintain proper levels.
Attends training and meetings as required.
DENTAL ASSISTANT REQUIRED EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS, REGISTRATION
Minimum of one-year dental assistant experience required.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have current CPR certification.

As a Medical Assistant you will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the medical office. You will support doctors and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality and in a timely manner.
Responsibilities
Interview patients and document basic medical history
Organize and schedule appointments
Update and file medical records
Basic Rooming/Triage duties
Perform EKG, UA's and additional testing as ordered by provider
Injection administration
Prepare and clean treatment rooms and medical instruments
Skills
Proven working experience as a medical assistant, CNA or LPN
Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Social perceptiveness and service oriented
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and planning skills
Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software
Certification in medical assistance, CNA or LPN

JOB PURPOSE & DUTIES
Serve as a personal clerical assistant to Emergency Physicians based in Braselton and Gainesville, GA focusing primarily on documentation of patient charts.
· Accompany physician into patient rooms to thoroughly document patients' electronic medical records
· Track and document laboratory and radiology studies
· Research past medical records, record medications given, responses to therapy, and physician consultations
· Other clerical duties as required
Requirements:
· At least 18 years of age
· Commit to 9+ months of availability to work at least 2-3 shifts weekly
· Live within a reasonable commuting distance of Braselton and Gainesville, Ga
· Interested in pursuing a career in healthcare
· Experience with computers and typing
· Sharp, motivated, and reliable
· Some knowledge of medical terminology
· Ability to stand for long periods of time
· Ability to type at 50+ words per minute
· Emergency Department positions require the ability to work some weekends, holidays and some overnight shifts
