About the role:
Every day, the donors you meet will motivate you. The high-quality plasma you collect will become life-changing medicines. Here, a commitment to customer service and quality is expected. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.
How you will contribute:
· You will answer phones, and greet and focus on our donors, while ensuring the safety of donors and our team.
· You will screen new and repeat donors and take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
· You will use our Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain accurate records, and coordinate donor compensation.
· You will help identify operational opportunities for continuous improvement and initiate changes to center processes using company approved procedures.
· You will be there for our donors, which includes working a variety of shifts, Saturdays and Sundays, and holidays.
What you bring to Takeda:
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
· Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
· Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
· Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.

Ensure all information being released is verified and checked for accuracy and follows all SDMI and Federal HIPAA and Privacy Regulations. Ensures that SDMI Core values are used when handling everyday concerns or issues with patients or staff. Must have strong Customer Service skills. Maintains a high level of privacy and security when it comes to the patient information, that you are releasing information to an approved person(s). Processes requests for medical records to patients, requesting physicians or outside facilities. Maintain accuracy of any outside records when received in the patient chart in the EMR. Prepare outside images for comparison to be read by Radiologist. May aide in preparing SDMI records that need to be sent with CRR out to doctors daily. Takes ACD calls from referring physicians, facilities, or patients and may aide patient with accessing the patient portal. Make sure all Emergent Records or requests sent via fax are handled in a timely manner. Maintain notes for each medical record request in the patient's chart in the EMR. Identify and fix any errors that are caught and report them upon discovery. Fax reports that are not sent by DDS will be identified and faxed upon discovery. Assist other departments as needed. May perform other job-related duties for the efficient operation of SDMI.
MINIMUM SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Previous medical experience preferred.
Read and write English.

ROLE of the POSITION
Student Wellness at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas seeks a full-time MedicalAssistant I, to join our healthcare team at the Student Health Center (SHC) and Faculty and Staff Treatment (FAST) Center. The AAI MedicalAssistant duties include but are not limited to:
Perform accurate and thorough patient intakes with minimal spelling errors and review patient history, vital signs, and medications.
Recognize and respond to emergencies in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Complete laboratory requisitions ensuring all relevant information is included along with supporting documentation (e.g., copies of insurance cards) when indicated.
Apply principles of universal precautions, aseptic technique, and infection control.

Provide patients/clients and guests with accurate general information about SWC and its services.
Ensure packages/deliveries on behalf of SWC are delivered to the appropriate recipient, or that the recipient is notified of a package/delivery immediately.
Ensure a neat, clean, and professional appearance of the lobby, self-check-in, and front desk areas.
Schedule, re-schedule, cancel, and confirm appointments.
Patient account maintenance: accept and process payments, process statements, and maintain SWC patient accounts in a timely manner. Verify eligibility status of patients/clients.
Assist patient/clients with check-in and check-out processes. Troubleshoot patient portal check-in issues.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of a medicalassistant program (or related education and experience within a healthcare setting) are required. Must have valid CPR certification.

GENERAL PURPOSE:
Under the general direction of the Department Manager, Physician, and/or Mid-level Provider, the MedicalAssistant supports both front and back office clinical processes as needed. Responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations and procedures, sterilizing reusable instruments, and ensuring compliance with OSHA and state regulations. The MedicalAssistant also assists with front desk duties, coordinating patient intake paperwork to ensure smooth clinic flow.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Verify patient information by interviewing patients, recording medical history, and confirming the purpose of the visit
Prepare patients for examinations by performing preliminary physical tests such as measuring blood pressure, weight, and temperature
Administer injections and medications as directed by the physician
Assist with front desk activities as needed to support clinic operations
Participate actively in quality improvement efforts and support clinical teams
Ability to stand or walk for up to 12 hours and lift/move patients when necessary
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
High School diploma or GED
Completion of a MedicalAssistant program
Minimum two years' experience preferred in family medicine or pediatric clinic
CMA or RMA certification strongly preferred
Licensed through the Division of Public and Behavioral Health as an Office Laboratory Assistant

Ensure all information being released is verified and checked for accuracy and follows all SDMI and Federal HIPAA and Privacy Regulations. Ensures that SDMI Core values are used when handling everyday concerns or issues with patients or staff. Must have strong Customer Service skills. Maintains a high level of privacy and security when it comes to the patient information, that you are releasing information to an approved person(s). Processes requests for medical records to patients, requesting physicians or outside facilities. Maintain accuracy of any outside records when received in the patient chart in the EMR. Prepare outside images for comparison to be read by Radiologist. May aide in preparing SDMI records that need to be sent with CRR out to doctors daily. Takes ACD calls from referring physicians, facilities, or patients and may aide patient with accessing the patient portal. Make sure all Emergent Records or requests sent via fax are handled in a timely manner. Maintain notes for each medical record request in the patient's chart in the EMR. Identify and fix any errors that are caught and report them upon discovery. Fax reports that are not sent by DDS will be identified and faxed upon discovery. Assist other departments as needed. May perform other job-related duties for the efficient operation of SDMI.
MINIMUM SKILLS, ABILITY AND REQUIREMENTS:
Must be a high school graduate or equivalent. Previous medical experience preferred.
Read and write English.
