Job Summary
The Nursing Assistant (NA) serves as caregiver to the resident during the scheduled work period in long term care. Provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance to assigned resident under the supervision of a registered nurse (RN). Knowledge of and delivers age-appropriate care related to the physical and psychological needs of the resident as per care plan. Considered a member of the nursing team and is expected to know, and will be held accountable for, following infection prevention and control policies and Personal Protective Equipment use. Provides assistance with basic health care needs including daily living activities that may include, but are not limited to, bathing, toileting, grooming, dressing/undressing, obtaining and recording vital signs, and providing psychosocial support and other personal care to assigned resident. Assists the resident in transferring, repositioning, and walking using correct and appropriate transfer techniques and equipment and also provides range of motion and passive exercises. Completes tasks related to food preparation and dining, while creating a positive dining experience for the resident. Assists residents with meals and snacks, provides water and supplements as appropriate.
The NA aids providers and nursing staff members with procedures, if needed. Documents resident interactions as needed and the outcomes related to resident care, behavior, activity, and dietary. Communicates resident's changing condition and care related concerns/responses to the charge nurse. Collects non-invasive body fluid specimens and gathers vital signs. Provides housekeeping and laundry services to assist residents with keeping living areas clean and operational. Provides assistance and documentation with wellness and recreational programs and encourages residents to participate. May participate in departmental/organization committees and task forces as needed.
Qualifications
High school graduate or general equivalency diploma (GED) preferred, but not required.
Minimum age of 16. Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
Required Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year. A minimum of 12 hours continuing education are required annually. Maintains all department specific required certifications.
When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor
vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license. Also must be medically qualified to perform the essential driving functions of
this position as per our Sanford Driving Policy per the leaders request.

About the role:

You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and will perform as a plasma donor screener and perform phlebotomy to support plasma center operations.
How you will contribute:
· You will greet donors as they enter and exit the donor floor.
· You will perform venipuncture of donors and programming of plasmapheresis machine.
· You will monitor donors during the donation process and manage donor reactions.
· You will perform all tasks required for the setup, verification, operation, and troubleshooting of plasmapheresis equipment within scope of training.
· You will install, prime, and disconnect disposable sets on the plasmapheresis machines
· You will stock supplies, break down empty cartons and assist with proper disposal.
· You will take and record donor pulse, blood pressure, and temperature measures and monitor electronic donor questionnaire system.
· You will perform finger sticks, test sample, and record other donor measures to include hematocrit, total protein, and weight.
· You will enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS).
· You will coordinate donors to donor floor and compensate donors using the Debit Card system.
· You will support the center management team in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement, initiating changes to center processes through use of company approved procedures including 5S, Value Stream Mapping and Kaizen.

Summary of Position Description:The Scribe-X medical scribe is a critical member of the patient care team. Medical scribes will work side-by-side a healthcare provider to document patient encounters in real-time. Medical scribe training is provided to all scribes to assure they are prepared to support their assigned provider(s).
Duties of a Medical Scribe
Schedule:
Mon, 8a-5p / Wed, 11a-7p / Thurs, 8a-4p
Perform chart preparation per clinic protocol
Accompany the provider in all scheduled patient visits
Document the patient history, physical exam, procedures, and patient plan, as performed by the provider
Remind provider of relevant quality metrics when appropriate, documenting to support quality metrics
Enter laboratory and radiographic studies, as ordered by the provider
Enter in medication orders, as dictated by the provider
Document and print instructions for the patient
Review completed charts with the provider between patients or at the completion of shift
Update provider preference and clinic preference documents as necessary
Education and Skills
Excellent verbal and written English skills
Strong computer skills with the ability to learn and navigate new software quickly
Healthcare track (e.g. pre-med, pre-PA, pre-nursing) is preferred
Bachelor's degree strongly preferred with a GPA of 3.00 or greater
High School diploma or equivalent required
If no college degree, 3+ years of full time work experience strongly preferred
Most assignments require a typing speed of at least 60 WPM
Some assignments require a typing speed of at least 80 WPM
Full-time availability required, Monday-Friday.
Spanish-speakers are eligible for a higher pay.

Process medication refills, prior authorizations, and patient assistance requests
Documentation & Records
Document effectively and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR)

Qualifications & Requirements:
Education & Experience
Active certification as one of the following is required:
NCMA, CMA (AAMA), RMA, or CCMA
Previous experience as a Medical Assistant required
Grace period provided to obtain BCLS/ACLS certification if enrolled in the next CVM-hosted training
