Medical Scribe - St. Cloud, MN
Medical Assistant Job 11 miles from Lakeville
Emergency Physicians, PA (EPPA) is a physician owned and operated company with a Medical Scribe Program that includes 18 different locations throughout the Minneapolis-St. Paul Greater Area and St. Cloud, MN. Specialties include emergency medicine, primary care, oncology, dermatology, orthopedics, and more.
A Medical Scribe works one-on-one with a physician (MD/DO), physician assistant (PA), or nurse practitioner (NP), accompanying them into each patient encounter. Scribes complete the Electronic Health Record (EHR)/charting in real time enabling providers to spend more time with their patients and increase the overall workflow of the department. An EPPA Scribe types everything that occurs during the patient visit from start to finish; including the patient's medical history, physical exam, patient outcomes, labs, imaging, dictations and more directly into the EHR. In return, Scribes become familiar with the workflow of medicine, medical decision making process, medical terminology, and different provider styles to patient care.

Being a Medical Scribe with EPPA is one of the best stepping stone work experiences prior to a medical or PA school. Compliance with hospital, HIPAA, and EPPA policies, including those relating to confidentiality of patient information.
Excellent job attendance. Scribes are held to the same attendance standards as the providers they work alongside.
All other duties, responsibilities, and/or projects as assigned.
Position Requirements:
Must be currently enrolled in a 4-year undergraduate program with an emphasis in pre-medical/science coursework and labs, or have completed an undergraduate degree with professional school science pre-requisites and labs

All EPPA Scribes are required to work a minimum of 2 shifts per week, with shift length ranging 8-10 hrs including mornings, days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and overnights. Our scheduling is flexible with most student schedules and students are not required to work overnights during the semester.
