RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospital Corpsmen (HM) assist health care professionals in providing medical care to Navy personnel and their families. They may function as clinical or specialty technicians, medical administrative personnel and healthcare providers at medical treatment facilities. Specifically, Hospital Corpsmen may be called upon to:
Perform emergency medical treatment on SEALs, Seabees, Marines and other military personnel injured in the field, as well as on Sailors aboard ships or aircraft
Perform emergency dental treatment as well as construct dental crowns and bridges, process
dental X-rays and operate X-ray equipment
Serve as an operating room technician for general and specialized surgery
Help administer a wide range of preventive care and medications, including immunizations and intravenous fluids
Conduct physical examinations and assisting in the treatment of diseases and injuries
Maintain patient treatment records, conduct research and perform clinical tests
Assist Navy Physicians and Nurses in a variety of medical fields, including, but not limited to: radiology, physical therapy, phlebotomy, dental, surgery, family medicine, pathology, womens health and more

Job Specific Minimum Qualifications
Must meet the requirements for a MedicalAssistant (MA), a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or an EMT as described below:

Host telehealth sessions for providers as assigned by manager/supervisor, both routine and acute visits
Facility Support
When scheduling is an expectation for your role:
Share patient schedules with key facility staff as needed.
Assist with any triage needs as directed by assigned provider (whether they are in or out of the building that day)
Assist with triage documentation as needed.
Ensure that all needed paperwork is routed for the facility to Eventus providers, office, or families.
Assist with consents for any services needed.
Attend stand up meetings to report any needed information from the facility to Eventus providers and vice versa if allowed by facility.
Assist with discharge planning of clinical services as needed.

Patient Support

Position Responsibilities:
Room patients: review allergies, medications, medical/surgical history, family history, and social history and take vitals.
Prepare patients for healthcare visits by directing and/or accompanying them to the examining room and helping them position themselves for the examination and/or treatment.
Arrange examining room instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Inform patients about their lab or imaging results.
Prepare the patient for surgery and prepare them for what to expect following the surgery.
Assist with ordering additional services, home health/physical therapy, DME supplies, and labs.
Responsible for charting, abstracting, entering orders, and keeping records of deliveries for CNM.
Assist the physician during exams/procedures. Set up sterile fields and instruments and assist throughout the procedure.
Call patients or pharmacies.
Prepare office/clinic space; check expiration dates and stock, and clean exam rooms between patients.
Make copies, update forms, and work with FMLA/patient forms.
Perform other duties as requested.
Position Requirements:
No prior experience or certification required. Graduation from an accredited medicalassistant program preferred.
If certified/licensed, candidates must hold and maintain either a State of Wisconsin Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license or Certified MedicalAssistant (CMA) certifications issued by one of the following:
American Association of MedicalAssistants (AAMA)
National Healthcareer Association (NHA) National
National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
