JOB SUMMARY:

Our full-time team members work 36-40 hours each week, including every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members are scheduled on an as-needed basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs timely radiology procedures for subsequent evaluation and treatment by attending physician
• Performs necessary quality control procedures to ensure quality exams are performed
• Prepares patients for radiologic procedures and follows established clinical and regulatory procedures in regards to patient safety and care; including proper radiation protection and shielding techniques.
• Ensures that equipment is in proper working order and reports any malfunctions to the Area Manager or provider on duty.
• Follows documentation procedures and completes required documentation related to patient visit.
• Assumes responsibility for maintaining and improving diagnostic imaging knowledge and skills with the support and assistance of outside educational resources
• Responsible for maintaining current licensure and certification for the facility radiology equipment and licensure

Summary
The Department of Human Services (DHS) Division of Medical Services (DMS) Medical Assistance Manager is responsible for administering managed care program activities and maintaining the approved state plan and all pertinent documentation regarding the service delivery of the state Medicaid program. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.
Functions
Provides administrative support to all staff by assisting in assigned duties and reviewing for accuracy and deadline compliance. Ensures promulgation of Medicaid policy, by posting the appropriate ads in the newspaper in time to meet the 30 day public comment period, and coordinates and prepares policy for filing with the Administrative Rules and Regulations Committee of the Arkansas Legislative Council. Serves as the primary contact person to the general public, provider community, DMS, and sister state agencies. Complies and maintains staff personnel and attendance records. Organizes, arranges, and attends, when necessary, training, conferences, seminars, and meetings. Makes recommendations to ensure process improvements and time and budget efficiencies. Provides support in word processing, hiring, office policy, and procedure. Performs other duties as assigned.

* Keep exam rooms stocked with adequate medical supplies, maintain instruments, prepare sterilization as required; Properly dispose of contaminated supplies
* Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
* Maintain all logs and required checks (i.e., refrigerator temperatures, emergency medications, expired medications, oxygen, etc.)
* Take telephone messages and provide feedback and answers to patient/physician/pharmacy calls.
* Make calls to pharmacy, diagnostic facilities, etc. As required by the primary care physician or onsite specialist.
* Draws blood, removes sutures, changes dressings.
* Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
* High School Diploma or equivalent substitute.
* Minimum Experience: 2 years; combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experience.
* Minimum Certifications and/or Licenses: CPR and first aid certification required; CMA/RMA preferred.
* Experience with EMR, MS Word, Excel, MS outlook.
* Phlebotomy (blood draw)
* Professional demeanor and communication always.
