They will be billing for 4 providers, but they are bringing in more in the future. And they have 2 off site people who support part time. A lot of it is going to start with clean up, to help them process things from the past that are still pending. Working through the rest of the billing as it comes in. They will start on paper billing, but they are moving everything over to Electronic billing in an older system called Medix Premier. The more of the day to day will focus on: - Payment Posting- They will review the bill, circle the fee, and then put the payment posting in - Denials- Going in to anything that did not get paid, why? What do they need to do to fix it? - HCFA Forms- Mailing these out - Workers Compensation and Liability Billing- Being an Orthopedic clinic, they do a lot of workers comp claims and payments, so any knowledge in that is helpful or in Ortho or pain management in general. - Reductions- After the Worker's Comp claims come through, sometimes the attorney will come back and say this should have cost less, and they have to process this. - Any coding experience to help them get ahead on that is a plus *Skills* medical billing, Denials, payment posting, Reductions, medical billing and coding, workers' compensation *Additional Skills & Qualifications* 1+ years in the billing world.
