Position Objective:

Scheduling testing and procedures for patients after their office visits and from incoming PCP requests.
Spanish and Portuguese speaking is a plus, but not required.
Greet and room patients, ensuring appropriate patient flow
Update patient's medical chart with accurate and timely documentation
Manage phone triage and take appropriate action under the direction of the provider
Demonstrate ability and appropriate technical skills when administering treatments and procedures in accordance with physician's orders
Provide patient education as well as personal patient care to provide comfort and well-being to acknowledge physiological and psychological needs
Under direction from providers, process refills for prescriptions following clinic protocol
Demonstrates positive interpersonal relationships in dealing with fellow clinic employees, managers and providers
Take direction and initiate actions that will allow cross-functional duties to ensure seamless patient care
Follow safety procedures in compliance with OSHA and state health department guidelines
Other administrative tasks as needed.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
2 years' experience as a Medical Assistant (AAMA certification preferred)
Medical terminology knowledge required
Bilingual (English and Fluent in Portuguese or Spanish preferred
eClinicalWorks (eCW): 1 year preferred

The Patient Care Coordinator functions as an intricate part of a high quality, efficiency driven medical team. Duties will be similar as those required of an Emergency Room Tech in a hospital Emergency Department. The PCC helps create a positive patient experience. The PCC II helps support patient complaints similar to those in an ER Room to include chest pain, abdominal pain, injuries, fractured bones, etc.
Description of Essential Duties:
Deliver patient care to a variety of patients (fast track, med/surg and critical care)
Perform quality splinting, dressing applications, and wound care
Performance of EKG's/cardiac monitoring with recognition of basic arrhythmias
Perform phlebotomy and venipuncture
IV insertion after successful completion of training and competency
Assist in procedure set-up (i.e., I&D, suture, vaginal exam, Lumbar puncture, chest tube, etc.)
Perform accurate triages and discharges of patients of all ages
Turn over rooms per protocol (based on patient diagnosis)
Communicate positively with all team members and patients
Manage patient tracking system
Professionally and reasonably delegate to team members (front staff and radiology)
Work independently in a fast-paced environment
Accurately input patient discharge instructions and prescriptions into computer software
Successfully participate in Proficiency Testing as directed
Successfully complete drug screening collection class
Completes routine checklists (daily, monthly, etc.) as assigned
Utilize organizational specific software to reference patient records and organizational protocols
Follow the information security policy & management system, contributing to its effectiveness, and actively reporting on its performance.
