This position will be part of Ashtabula Regional Medical Center's (ARMC) new patient care tower. The patient care tower is a 115,000 square foot, multi-story building with 55 new private patient rooms. This includes a new Intensive Care Unit, five new operating rooms in the Surgical Suite, and 24 new rooms in the Emergency Department. The new patient rooms have private bathrooms and showers and are more spacious and comfortable for families while visiting their loved one.
The new tower creates an even better environment for our patients and caregivers while incorporating the latest technology in healthcare. Caregiver input was a critical piece of the tower design process. Caregivers were involved to help ensure the tower was designed around their workflow, not the other way around. Job Summary
The role of the Patient Care Nursing Assistant (PCNA) is integral to ARMC's mission to provide quality patient care to our community. We are looking for a compassionate, energetic individual to join us in providing the best, most compassionate care for our patients!
The PCNA will perform various patient care activities and related services under the direction of the licensed staff. Duties include ADL's, vitals, feeding, bathing, dressing, mouth care, and other direct patient care duties as assigned.
Experience/Requirements

Strong interpersonal and communication skills
At least (1) year of experience providing direct customer service to customers or patients is strongly desired.

Summary
Our Medical Scribes play a key role in supporting that mission by partnering directly with our providers during on-site rounds in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and senior living communities.
In this role, you'll accompany the provider during patient visits and document the encounter in real time in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Your work allows the provider to stay fully focused on the resident while ensuring accurate, timely, and complete documentation. Scribes do not provide hands-on clinical care and do not need prior medical training; all documentation is reviewed and approved by the provider.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
* Join the Curana provider while rounding inside SNFs and senior living communities
* Document patient encounters in real time within the EMR

RESPONSIBILITIES
Hospital Corpsmen (HM) assist health care professionals in providing medical care to Navy personnel and their families. They may function as clinical or specialty technicians, medical administrative personnel and healthcare providers at medical treatment facilities. Specifically, Hospital Corpsmen may be called upon to:
Perform emergency medical treatment on SEALs, Seabees, Marines and other military personnel injured in the field, as well as on Sailors aboard ships or aircraft
Perform emergency dental treatment as well as construct dental crowns and bridges, process
dental X-rays and operate X-ray equipment
Serve as an operating room technician for general and specialized surgery
Help administer a wide range of preventive care and medications, including immunizations and intravenous fluids
Conduct physical examinations and assisting in the treatment of diseases and injuries
Maintain patient treatment records, conduct research and perform clinical tests
Assist Navy Physicians and Nurses in a variety of medical fields, including, but not limited to: radiology, physical therapy, phlebotomy, dental, surgery, family medicine, pathology, womens health and more

PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES
Serving part-time as a Navy Reserve Sailor, your duties will be carried out during your scheduled drilling and training periods. During monthly drilling, Hospital Corpsmen in the Navy Reserve typically work at a location close to their homes.

Summary
Our Medical Scribes play a key role in supporting that mission by partnering directly with our providers during on-site rounds in skilled nursing facilities (SNFs) and senior living communities.
In this role, you'll accompany the provider during patient visits and document the encounter in real time in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR). Your work allows the provider to stay fully focused on the resident while ensuring accurate, timely, and complete documentation. Scribes do not provide hands-on clinical care and do not need prior medical training; all documentation is reviewed and approved by the provider.
This position is ideal for anyone interested in the medical field and eager to gain meaningful experience in geriatric and value-based care.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Join the Curana provider while rounding inside SNFs and senior living communities
Document patient encounters in real time within the EMR
Record medical procedures, assessments, diagnoses, and orders as directed by the provider
Retrieve and summarize relevant medical history from past encounters
Monitor incoming lab and radiology results, update the chart, and alert the provider as needed
Enter treatment plans and care recommendations into the medical record
Ensure documentation meets compliance standards
Support the provider with other documentation-related needs as requested
Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Respect for patient confidentiality and professionalism at all times
Fluent in English; able to type at least 40 words per minute
Computer-savvy and confident learning new systems
High school diploma or equivalent required
Interest in the medical field preferred - college coursework in pre-med, nursing, biology, or medical terminology is a plus
