Under direct supervision, assist physicians and clinicians with patient care duties in a medical environment that may include medical oncology, radiation oncology, diagnostic imaging, BMT or gynecologic oncology. Maintains efficient patient flow, documents in electronic medical records (EMR), and assists with patient care (i.e., exams, procedures, and patient education.) Performs miscellaneous clinic support tasks including filing, answering phones, and maintaining physician's schedule. Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent required. Certificate of graduation from an accredited program for Medical Assistants required. If not currently certified, OCSRI will assist with CMA certification. One or more years' experience in a medical clinic preferred. Proof of current Medical Assistant Certification (CMA) as required by CMS attestation. Medical Assistant Certification must be kept active/current for employment at OCSRI. Current CPR certification required. Basic knowledge of the operation of standard office equipment desired. Communication skills written and verbal. Excellent customer service and high level of courtesy and professionalism required. Starting salary: $15/hr.+ Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, qualifications, and other relevant factors Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute is an EEO employer.
