Reviews patient charts to ensure imaging is available and all pertinent information to maximize appointment.
Follow-up on reported issues and assists with service recovery.
Reviews/Documents Social Determinants. Provides education/resources as needed.
Activates of My Chart Accounts where appropriate. Ensures Telehealth connectivity for scheduled appointments and trouble shoots as needed.

Position Objective:
The Medical Assistant is a clinical role and is responsible for administrative and clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks. We are seeking a Medical Billing & AR Specialist who can manage the full billing and reimbursement life cycle, including pre-billing authorization review, claim submission, payer portal follow-up, denial research, appeals, and identifying underpayment trends.
This is a critical-thinking, problem-solving role, not data entry, not “just claim submission.”

Review prior authorizations and documentation to ensure billing accuracy before claim submission.
Submit clean claims and verify payer receipt via portals and clearinghouses.

4. Information Gathering. Obtains and records vital signs including body temperature, height, weight, and blood pressure. Takes and documents complaints and patient histories including allergies, immunization histories, etc. Maintains patient confidentiality. Receives and returns telephone calls from or to patients and pharmacies. Obtains authorizations and referrals.
5. Nursing. Performs various nursing duties such as suture removal, casting and steristrip applications, administration of injections, venipunctures, breathing treatments, ultrasound therapy, and hydroculator therapy. Assists with both surgical and nonsurgical procedures.
6. Chaperoning. Chaperones examinations and patients.
7. Supply Maintenance. Responsible for stocking exam rooms, taking inventory, ordering supplies, and sterilizing instruments and/or equipment.
8. Scheduling. Makes scheduling arrangements with other healthcare professionals and facilities.
9. As Needed. Performs various duties as needed to successfully fulfill the function of the position.
