Key Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures.
Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
Fully understand all of the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness.
Package specimens for transport.
Stores specimens at the required temperature and places them.
Qualifications:
A High School Diploma or GED is required.
A minimum of 3-5 yr. of phlebotomy experience is required.

Position Objective:
The Regional MA Float is a clinical role and is responsible for administrative and clinical tasks, such as maintaining patient records, preparing patients and rooms for examination, assisting physicians with exams, and performing front-desk tasks. This role is a safety-sensitive position as it involves direct patient care and administering medication. The incumbent will report to the Office Manager (or similar role) at their home clinic and will also travel within their region providing physician support services while providing positive patient experiences.
Responsibilities:
Greet and prepare patients for provider examination by obtaining patient history, chief complaint, current medications, medical history, allergies, surgical history, family history, social history, and other preventative medicine reviews, take patients' vitals, and record information in the patient electronic medical record
Assist provider with examination, treatments, and procedures as directed
Maintain complete and detailed records, electronically in the EMR, of patients' information
Measure and record vital signs and record them in the EMR
Accurately and professionally handle all front-desk operations, including answering phones, greeting patients, scheduling appointments, addressing routine inquiries, and triaging calls
Maintain patient medical records in accordance with the center's policy
Explain treatment procedures, medications, diets, or providers' instructions to patients
Prepare both patient and room for examination

Perform in-office CLIA-waived lab tests
Carry out quality controls related to lab equipment and testing, complete and maintain lab-related logs, perform PT/INR utilizing CoaguChek/Coag Sense machine, and perform glucose testing utilizing glucometer
Accurately complete electronic medical records to include medical services rendered, test results, and supplies used
Monitor disposable inventory and place orders for medical supplies and pharmaceuticals as requested
Draw blood and process specimens for send-out
Provide patient education as directed by the provider
Assist front office tasks by performing additional clerical duties, including patient check-in/out, referrals, prescription medication management, inbound/outbound telephone calls etc.
Help maintain an adequate inventory of office medications and medical supplies and orders as needed
Assist in onboarding and training new Team Members
Assist with inventory and maintaining office supplies

The MedicalAssistant will work directly under the supervision of one of our Pain Management physicians and will be accountable for creating an exceptional patient experience, while ensuring accurate, efficient and effective clinical operational practices are followed. The MedicalAssistant is responsible for application and removal of casts including complex casting and orthopedic splints and devices. This position has a significant amount of patient contact and is typically involved in the team assessment of patient needs. This role requires exemplary customer service skills, problem solving, organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
We believe every patient should receive the best possible care, our practice offers an array of services specializing in general orthopedics, spine care, sports reconstruction, adult reconstruction and non-surgical treatments. We currently have eleven Orthopedic Surgeons, one Interventional Pain Management Physician, Mid-Level Providers, and a Physical Therapy team who serve patients at four locations within Volusia and Flagler counties.
What the MedicalAssistant will do:

Experience and Abilities:

Responsibilities:
Provide medication reminders and/or assistance according to state regulations.
Administers medications as allowed by state guidelines.
Order and receive medication. Ensure all medications are available for administration and communicate with pharmacy if they are not.
Prioritize tasks to ensure optimum services to residents as requests and needs change.
Maintain resident's records in our digital platform daily. This includes medication distribution, incidents, and observations, reporting any changes in residents' physical and/or behavioral condition.
Perform room visits and room checks on a regular basis.
Assist with resident care when needed.
Respond promptly and positively to resident requests for assistance, including emergency pull cords, telephone calls and requests from family and friends
Monitors the safety and well-being of residents. Communicates any changes to Director of Health and Wellness or Wellness Nurse on duty.
Audits and checks rooms for medications residents are self-administering and ensures compliance to guidelines
Maintains open communication with supervisor and/or peers to promote awareness of resident issues.
May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
Requirements
High School Diploma; or two (2) to four (4) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Medication certification as required by state guidelines.
Must successfully complete the ESL medication competency upon hire and as required by state regulation at a minimum.
First Aid and CPR Certification if required by state law and/or Company standards.
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Able to speak effectively to customers or employees of organization.
Able to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
Appearance is neat, clean, and according to dress code.
Able to demonstrate a high level of service delivery and hospitality; does what is necessary to ensure customer satisfaction, deals with service failures and prioritizes customer needs.
