This role involves assisting families with the application process, screening applicants, issuing WIC benefits, and maintaining records related to clinic activities.
Key Responsibilities:
Place and answer phone calls related to clinic business.
Schedule appointments for clients.
Assist with the application process: Including providing application documents, screening applicants for eligibility, and determining WIC income eligibility.
Data Entry.
Issue WIC benefits.
Complete WIC I.D. Booklets
Promote, protect, and support breastfeeding as the optimal method of infant feeding.
Job Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
Experience: Prefer a minimum of one year clerical experience in a health care setting.
Skills: Ability to complete simple math skills, maintain confidentiality, professional telephone skills, computer proficiency.
Knowledge: Knowledge of English, grammar, and sentence structure. Ability to communicate in Spanish preferred.
Other: Assist with community outreach activities as requested/required.
