A day in the life of a Certified MedicalAssistant at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:

MedicalAssistant Position
Hudson Health is currently searching for a professional, compassionate, knowledgeable and highly motivated individual to fill the position of MedicalAssistant at Hudson Medical. This individual will be working closely with physician assistants, medical providers, and medical staff in order to optimize the current patient workflow.
In this role, the employee will be potentially responsible for a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to, clinical work of timely and accurate transcription of medical information into the EMR system, setting up procedures, triaging patient flow, and aiding providers with pain management injections. Administrative tasks with regard to patient care and follow-up. Employees will supply operational support to the practice by maintaining medical equipment and keeping examination rooms properly supplied and ready for patients.

Responsibilities:
Acquaint yourself with all new and established patients, providing plan/setting expectations for visit and guide patients to examination rooms
Assist the physician with documentation of the patients' medical record
Accompanies the physician into the exam room to transcribe the history of the examination as given by the patient and the physician
Under the direction of the physician, transcribes the impression and plan, results of tests, prescriptions, and orders
Documents and aids in any procedural set that may be performed by the physician
Document all history and testing information accurately and consistently
Summarize all exam details from physician into patients' electronic chart, including but not limited to: proper charting of examination, additions to chief complaint, physician assessment and recommendations for treatment
Other duties as assigned or directed by your supervisor
Required Qualifications:
Experience as a Medical Scribe is required. Ophthalmology and retina experience preferred.
You should be able to communicate professionally, be comfortable working in a medical environment, be highly organized, have a strong customer service background, possess excellent computer and organizational skills, and champion a welcoming/friendly demeanor
Knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Medical Terminology
Working knowledge of eye anatomy, retina disease, and ocular medications
Basic to advanced computer skills required
Strong written and verbal communication
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate Degree or higher/ equivalent working experience
Salary: $23.00 - $27.00 per hour, depending on experience

The Medical Scribe supports wound care providers in skilled nursing facilities. The Medical Scribe will be responsible for accurately documenting patient encounters, ensuring timely and compliant entries into the electronic medical record (EMR), supporting Merit-Based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) reporting, and facilitating communication between the clinical team and facility staff. Key Responsibilities:
Accurately document patient visits, wound assessments, and treatment plans under the direction of the provider.
Ensure all notes and entries are compliant with MIPS requirements and skilled nursing facility regulations.
Assist with the preparation and organization of patient charts and medical records.
Support the provider in capturing all relevant clinical data, including wound progress and procedure details.
Communicate effectively with skilled nursing facility staff and administrators to help coordinate care and clarify documentation as needed.
Monitor documentation timelines to ensure completion and submission in accordance with facility and payer guidelines.
Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and follow HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications:
