To be successful in the role, you would have:
Certified Nursing Assistant certificate
Prior CNA or caregiving experience preferred
You would be responsible for assisting our residents with their activities of daily living which include:

Providing effective and courteous service to all residents, family members, guests, and team members; is clear in communication and handles conflicts appropriately;

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent work experience, preferred
Certified or eligible for certification as a Medical Assistant in the state of employment or completion of a Medical Assistant program
Current CPR certification.

Decypher is seeking a Medical Assistant to support the contract in San Diego, CA.
QUALIFICATIONS
Degree: High school diploma or GED.
Education: Graduate from an accredited medical assistant training program (CAAHEP, ABHES, CCBMA, ACCSC, ACICS, ACCET, or ACCJC), or be a graduate of formal medical services training program of the United States Armed Forces.
Certificate: American Heart Association or American Red Cross issued Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers. Certification must be acquired before starting; web-based classes not accepted.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare examination rooms prior to patient's arrival.
Assist with patient check-ins, admissions, discharges, and transfers as directed.
Check patient's vital signs, to include temperature, respiration, pulse, weight, blood pressure, and pulse oximeter reading.
Obtain and document patient's current medical history, drug history, chief complaints, allergies and vital signs on the correct form.
Perform diagnostic procedures when ordered.
Maintain examination room stock levels and perform routine maintenance of examination rooms.
Complete lab and x-ray requisitions in accordance with clinic policies.
Enter demographic data into the computer upon patient check-in; enter diagnosis and departing time when patient is released
Perform various administrative functions as directed, such as answering telephones and transcribing accurate messages, assisting with patient check-in, assisting with scheduling appointments, placing appointment reminder telephone calls. Administrative duties are in addition to clinical duties. Administrative duties will be no more than 20% of all workloads.

Your job duties:
Rooming patients, checking vitals, assisting with procedures
Clinic prep assisting with Provider specific protocols
Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environment
Organizes and performs patient care services that support the physician's practice
Relaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized person
Collecting patient data in person and by phone
Documenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's review
Administering medications specifically directed by the physician

Order and referral entry, acquisition of pre-certifications
