Responsibilities:
Maintains established department policies, procedures, objectives, and quality assurance, and safety.
Performs radiographic examinations.
Checks equipment, supplies, and accessories on a regular basis. Required to maintain the required stock of supplies for each radiography room.
Develops film including evaluating film for technical quality.
Maintains orderliness and cleanliness of work areas.
Transports patients to radiographic room (at times also back to room or ER); prepares and maintains room.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, current literature, in-service meetings and workshops.
Attends meetings as required.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
NM Radiography Tech (RRT) or Temp NM Radiography Tech
Rad Tech-Radiography ARRT R.T.(R)
BLS Certification is required at the time of hire.
Associate degree preferred.
Employee will have a period of 1 year to obtain ARRT certification.

Key Responsibilities
Clinical Duties:
Assist healthcare providers in conducting patient examinations, and treatments.
Administer approved medications and vaccinations as directed by healthcare providers.
Perform routine procedures such as taking vital signs, collecting specimens, and dressing wounds.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medical histories and treatment plans.
Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized clinical environment.
Provide patient education on various healthcare topics, including medication management, disease prevention, and healthy lifestyle choices.
Training new staff members on Athena functionalities, troubleshooting technical issues, and assisting with workflow enhancements to improve efficiency and patient care delivery.
Perform front office duties including appointment scheduling, appointment reminder calls, patient registration, insurance verification and medical record management
Provide referrals both internally and externally to appropriate medical resources.
Ensure exam rooms, equipment and supplies are clean and ready for patients
Manage supplies, inventory and ordering.
Perform laboratory tests and collect specimens as ordered by the physician.
Assist in prescription management including prescription refills and calling in prescriptions to the pharmacy.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
Manage patient flow and communicate delays to patients and physician.
Participate in street outreach efforts to provide medical care to individuals experiencing or living in underserved communities.
Conduct health assessments and screenings in non-traditional settings..
Administer basic medical treatments and first aid to address immediate healthcare needs.
Collaborate with social workers, case managers, and community organizations to connect patients with additional support services such as housing assistance, medical coverage sign-up, substance abuse treatment, and mental health counseling.
Advocate for the healthcare needs of marginalized populations and work to address systemic barriers to accessing care.
Attend scheduled meetings and ensure any assigned tasks are completed accordingly.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that prioritizes teamwork, professionalism, and patient-centered care.
Manage time effectively and be highly organized in order to handle various tasks and responsibilities. This includes prioritizing tasks, maintaining accurate and organized records, and meeting deadlines.
Work during scheduled time including after-hours and weekends.
Drive and assist with vehicle maintenance, including set up and take down each day.

Requirements
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Certified MedicalAssistant (CMA) or Registered MedicalAssistant (RMA) credential required.
Minimum of [2] years of experience working as a medicalassistant in a clinical setting
Experience working in primary care required
Experience working in public health and infectious disease (eg HIV) preferred
Valid BLS certification
Knowledge of healthcare regulations and preventative measures (HIPAA confidentiality, infection spread, etc.)

WORK ENVIRONMENT

PART-TIME OPPORTUNITIES

What You'll Do

Qualifications/Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Successful completion of a state-approved MedicalAssistant program. Employer may consider applicants based on extensive experience (unless required by state law).
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Medical office, procedure/exam room and laboratory environment may include exposure to communicable diseases, bloodborne pathogens, biohazards or toxic substances. Daily activities may include standing, walking, sitting, bending and lifting items up to 30 lbs.
